Technically speaking, the atomization on his gaze is merely phraseology. Since the text in game is described as "turning what he gazed upon into particles". However every form of technology/power/skill/whatever that use the "Cracking" in it are all actually reality warping. So the "atomization" of Golden King's gaze is just how his reality warping manifest. There is a lot more to it hence why you get ridicilous feats like ""atomizing"" abstract possibility, concepts, ideas and other things. As the basis of this power "Cracking" is pretty much something that doesn't adhere to conventional reality and common senses. Cracking takes on many forms GK just happens to be 'atomization'.

Or just chill after the universe is busted since he can exist as some sort of incorporeal conciousness without a body housing him then leisurely go to his dimension that way. Or do whatever he wants, really

Literally the first scene in Gahkthun was Tesla destroying his pre-matured body (the Bell) and it does nothing and just existed without any substance prior to regenerating. Only at EoG that Tesla destroys the Bell so through, to the point it cannot regenerate itself, that Golden King had to scram somewhere else (he didn't even die from it, just lost a terminal housing him)

If you're going to bring up a resistance towards some power when the power that's going to be resisted is an entirely different form of power, then explain it in full details with context as to why it would even matter when the 2 powers aren't even the same
