In a straight up comparison of stats, Tanjiro had the speed and AP to compete with a post-blood boosted Enmu who was already Lower Moon 1 even before being massively amped by Muzan to the point he initially thought he could supersede the lower ranks entirely and become an Upper Moon.

Granted he can’t spam sun breathing in this key to fight off Hairo’s shadow army, but even with the more stamina conservative water breathing he was still doing pretty well against a much stronger LM, so I don’t think Hairo’s shadows are sufficient to make up for the difference in stats.

I’m going with Tanjiro.

Yes, but Rengoku was eventually able to overpower that using 9th Form, so I imagine Tanjiro will be able to achieve something similar with sun breathing.
