Tier 0 Question

So, I’ve been looking at several Tier 0 profiles (like The Presence and SRE), and I noticed that some of them have multiple Tier 0 keys. How does that work? How can a Tier 0 character have several keys that are all still Tier 0?

Also, why does The Presence have many Tier 0 keys even though all of them are still within the DC 'World'?

Regarding SRE, it's just that the page wasn't updated. Only the last Key would most likely remain tier 0

I'm not understanding the confusion here. The Presence page not only shows what each Tier 0 key is for. As in, that it's for a different cosmology. The note at the bottom of the page explains the reasoning itself. That's along with the link to the cosmology blog. It's pretty straightforward in why it's the way it is. The site separates the DC cosmology 3 ways. Each version scales that high for different reasons. So each version gets a Tier 0 key. It's truly that simple.

You’re right to question this as it points to a fundamental flaw in how DC is managed on this site. The hidden and unsaid part of the DC cosmology split is that it separates cosmologies in the same way someone separates canon. This is performed in a manner that they described to me verbatim as “lines being drawn in the sand” with that sand being the true DC Universe continuity as it’s established by editorial, and the line drawers being VSBW randoms and not official DC editorial.

So the 3 different keys you see are truthfully just 3 different DC canons that the people on this site have arbitrarily created to justify their interpretations for the cosmic side of the verse. Or in shorter words, it’s head canoning the continuity. They unironically did this to try and create more realistic tiers, which obviously was never going to happen as within headcanon, literally anything is possible, hence why you have three tier 0 keys for the Presence, which he likely wouldn’t have if the verse was analyzed for how it truly is. To make matters worse, they only do this for the cosmic characters and the DC Multiverse landscape, which ignores the herald and lower tier characters. Meaning characters like Superman, Flash, Hal Jordan, etc, have their histories following the established continuity, while being tiered and scaled within a unstandardized fan-made cosmic landscape which ignores said established continuity.

All in all, you can’t have multiple tier 0’s within a verse. I believe there may be multiple characters with tier 0 keys, in a manner of which these tier 0 keys are all connecting back to one solidified tier 0 character. However, I’m not fully sure about that so you’ll have to double check this with others. As for DC, I would just ignore those tiers for the moment. Once I finish my preparations which are almost complete, I’ll be trying to fix that mess.
