I've seen the possibility of making profiles for the original DB+DBZ anime discussed along with several calc'd feats and proposed scaling but nothing really definitive outside of implications for GT. So basically, is the plan to create said profiles here or was it rejected?

If it is planned, I don't mean to rush anyone; just unsure as to what decision was made.
 
Actually, yeah. Well, it depends on what profile we can put it on when it comes to Goku and Vegeta. Everyone else could just be put on and that's that.
 
Actually, I heard there were plans to move the Filler and Movie characters over to the GT Verse page and renaming it as Dragon Ball (Toeiverse) or Dragon Ball (Anime). It was Kepekley and Dark649 who planned to do that eventually iirc.
 
Well, I am neutral to the idea of composite profiles. It should make the Dragon Ball fans happy if nothing else. You can ask Dark649 and Kepekley about it then.
 
Yes, but they're both two seperate continuities and we prefer to give separate canons different Verse pages. Also, I'm positive the composite profiles were brought up and rejected. Mixing Canon with Non-Canon characters into composites is generally a bad idea.
 
Like, I said, just make a key, like Digimon profiles, some of them have a (Composite) key, don't see any reasoning as for why we couldn't do the same
 
I was thinking about composite DBS profiles since the authors have said multiple times that the manga and anime are both canon.
 
I also remember that the idea was rejected when I brought it up earlier.
 
well, I see a lot of posts about making profiles to Heroes characters, but no mention of just creating a different key, as I proposed.

I went into some of the other threads about Alternate Canon and it seemed that people like Kep and Matthew agreed with making keys, apparently, Kep himself had made a Goku (Toeiverse) profile from what his comment seems to be.

But then again, I could be wrong, so uh, knock yourself out?
 
My idea for Composite DB profiles is that we have separate keys for seperate Composite forms on one profile.

Example:

Goku:

Anime Key (Buu Saga + filler/movie feats and powers). | Games (Up to date). | True Composite

1st key has every power that was demonstrated in filler anime content, GT, movies, etc. Second Key is stuff from every game. The last key is EVERYTHING.

If this is bad, then the last one is the best one. We don't need Composite link either but it's useful. Why not a Composite Goku? Because people don't want to make Dragon Ball Fans happy? Why is that a reason to not do something? Sure, people might just want to see a super strong Goku. Why is that a bad thing?? It sounds biased and hateful, and i'm not censoring that.

I'm fairly certain there was a resistance to more Goku profiles, stronger Goku profiles, and saying that it only exists to make DB fans happy. None of which are arguments because we either have verses with multiple character profiles (See Zelda), or the validity behind them is inherently spiteful (as if arbitrary profiles to satisfy fans is a reason NOT to put up a profile on its own merits. Sounds like people don't want to be nice to a fan base. It wouldn't be favoritism.)
 
Well, from what I remember my suggestion was strongly voted down mainly because I said that it would be a nice gesture to the fanbase, as it isn't a good argument, and would show specific favouritism.
 
What Medeus said is true, the reason that was discussed about it was that the other continuities of said character [Ex. Goku Toeiverse Anime and Movies/Super Manga] were similar sans for different stats and few new abilities [MSSB/Hakai for Manga], Dragon Fist [Anime], along with that the Composite were deemed as controversial by other Admins [There are those that possibly don't like these pages] because it would lead to many other profiles of characters with many many many versions such as Composite Ryu with stuff from Marvel vs Capcom and many other characters [And those that got a massive power boost for a few minutes like Anakin and Kirito or those with Jap. games only informations such as Jump Ultimate DS Jotaro]. I'm neutral about it, but i will say that some Toeiverse char. are Movie + Anime since some Movie versions are the same as the Anime sans are in a alternative dimension [GT Goku has the Dragon Fist], and the Manga and Anime of Super should be separated because there are heavy changes in both traits of story and scaling such as Manga God Goku being 3-C+ and the Anime being 3-A or Hit and other characters being weaker than their Anime versions, lastly both Infinite Zamasu's are completely different from each other.

What's wrong with having Composite Ryu? I feel like as long as there's a lot of content with varied abilities or showings it should count. The argument that the differences would be small for Goku is also BS. Heroes Goku by himself qualifies, and Composite Goku more powers and techniques than him. Telekinesis, Divine Lasso, all of Heroes abilities, is way stronger, more examples of feats of intelligence and stuff.

I think Goku applies for this since he has multiple versions and is pretty well known. We could make a new thread for this if it's been long enough since the last one to have new info.
 
I personally hate the idea of mixing canon and non canon; especially if every single non canon continuity, crossover, cameo, in existence is taken into account. Such a thing could very well lead to almost every single character in fiction being 1-A; or at least Tier 2 and above, and all that which would be all over the place.

Well, we didn't quite say that; Kepekley and Dark are currently discussing that. But the composite profiles are probably a big no.
 
We already have a Son Goku (Xeno) profile though, and a composite profile would probably have the same statistics.
 
The composite version of both super versions will result of just the anime version in stats with few abilities from the manga, a new form for Fusion Zamasu [basically an army of himself] and a variation of the known SSB state for Goku and Vegeta.
 
Well yeah, Xeno Goku was accepted, but there was like another DBZ game which people were using to create a Low 1-C iirc. And reason it was rejected was because said game didn't differ greatly enough from the main canon aside from it being simply an adaptation.

A composite of EVERYTHING from everywhere in DB of Goku would differ greatly. It would have Xeno Goku and whatever Low 1-C (that sounds like wank) stuff, plus all the abilities from everywhere he is from. If we're comparing it to main canon, the Composite Goku would be far more powerful and way more haxed, with new abilities, etc.

What is specifically wrong with having Composite Goku, ignoring all the implications about other requests and the arguments that appealing to the fans is a bad thing?

It's not favoritism. It's actually a far more convincing case than every other Composite argument there is, that isn't Link from Zelda. Composite Ryu would only have, like, 3 games and some anime to Goku's hundreds of outside media appearances.

Every character in fiction being Tier 2 is too absurd to be even exceptable for hyperbole. Solar System stuff at best for all of fiction— and even then, it's usually just stuff like Naruto getting Country Level far earlier in the series based on some animations from video game special moves. And even then, that's if you choose to get Composite EVERYTHING.

This is an indexing Wiki and an online database which would imply that this website can store tons of information. If there were arguments like, it would take up too much space or data, that would make sense. But how can a database like this do its job if they refuse to store very similar copies of information for that similarity, but then refuse to use the more rational method of compositing everything not canon and canon into one profile?

The argument that Composite Ryu even deserves to be on here because of Composite Goku's existence is like comparing a businessman to a King. Goku is the exception because there is SO much material for him. Characters like Goku, Luffy, Mario, they deserve Composites because of the massive amount of information on them.

If not a composite profile, a mock profile blog like the one Kep made for Composite Pokémon humans? It took just as much, if not more research to construct research for that blog to even be made, i'm Sure.
 
Well, as I mentioned, I am neutral about a composite Goku profile, but don't want inflation with lots of other composite profile pages.

Given that I was voted down last time, it isn't up to me alone though.
 
SSB, SSG and UI won't appear in Jump Force because DB Super is Toeianimation and not Shounen Jump. That gives it the same threatment as GT.
