We should close the thread soon. From the looks of things, even after 1 month of discourse there didn't seem to be any significant progress made in this conversation and the two months of inactivity put the nail in the coffin.
It's stunning how a thread that sought to make Tier 1 upgrades accumulated over ten thousand views yet it remained devoid of activity for so long.

To my knowledge there is no one consensus on any topic. Ovens explicitly did not want to participate in this thread because of it's length, Promestein just left after debating infinite speed shortly, and to my knowledge the rest of the evaluations were incomplete and did not cover every single aspect of the thread. Not to mention, Saikou and Jinsye have seemingly stopped responding to an ongoing debate.

Honestly such a long CRT is extremely counterproductive regardless.
If during a CRT you're debating BOTH stats and hax, with both being extremely controversial, then what else do you expect?
This CRT simply cannot work, given the sheer amount of arguments and discussion which are generated and lead to nowhere given their massive amount.
If OP still wants to bother, it's better if they make another series of CRTs, each revising a single area per time, without making such a clusterfuck which is barely understandable.

On a serious note, I'm mostly trying to stay neutral for purposes of maintaining civil discussion without any biases to either side (as my knowledge of Touhou is limited anyways).
