Nothing suggests he didn't use to be Orion in the movies. Only thing that could contradict is the movie comics, which aren't canon anymore. Secondly, he wasn't a librarian in G1.
It's below the bio. And the text is from the bio section as shown with the rectangles around it.
Lastly, looking at the other biographies for characters like Jetfire and the Fallen. It's pretty clear that these are meant to be for the movies itself.
