Is this social influencing or is this fear inducement? Just for more context the person who felt “goosebumps” all over his body gone up against someone who pretty much has the ability to suck the will to fight out of you and also has some fear qualities but is still able to fight as is.

It should be noted simply terrorizing the opponent either by authority, strength or demeanour only would qualify as Social Influencing, as Fear Manipulation would allow the user to inflict fear regardless of these factors.

Instigating Fear: Characters who can in some way or the other, instigate fear and affect the thinking or confidence of another person in their verse. The ways the characters use may include usage of position or a reputation in their verse, having an appearance or a certain feature in their appearance which other characters in the verse perceive as creepy or scary and easily scared by it or driving other characters into situations where they are set to feel fear, etc. This differs from fear manipulation, as this doesn't involve any supernatural factor and is escapable through simple willpower or confidence.

This should be Social Influencing unless there is some weird shenanigans going on

For reference the grey haired character isn’t stronger than the black haired character. Theres also no authority but I guess there is a demeanour shift so this could work as social influencing? The only thing I don’t necessarily get is how Gamin Youn (black haired character) was able to feel goosebumps from the shift of his demeanour but has gone against something a lot worse than grey hair’s and is deemed as ineffective.

I also do not think that social influencing has layers and the opponent I’m referring to with more potent supposed “social influencing” is on a different level compared to grey hair.

Social Influencing is something you can't really label with layers(afaik it makes no sense to do so even), like you can have some leader who influences own team and whole political who can influence own country. Both of them are influencers, but like obviously you won't give political layer into SI, at best it would "Greater Social Influencing", so i don't think it having no layers is problem

Fear Manipulation, otherwise known as Fear Inducement is the ability in which to inflict a level of "fear" on the target using supernatural means. Depending on the severity of the fear, the user can use this to manipulate the target, incapacitate them or simply drive them insane.

For this reason you have this and uses of it obviously different

But I don't know verse, if it has some abilities that can explain sudden demeanour shift(Like GoH had smth like this i remember?), so if they have probably it is outright fear manipulation, otherwise i am seeing social influence rn.

Yeah layers not being applicable to SI seems best. Would’ve led to hyperinflation and a lot of unreasonable justification too. Greater social influencing does look reasonable to me it’s just a bit strange given this case since his prior opponent is a God Tier compared to Geonyob Park who’s a High Tier.

AFAIK Jun Fan is a martial art invented by Bruce Lee and I did some research and it slightly differs compared to Study Group’s definition and showcasing. IIRC there was statements of Gamin Youn pretty much throwing aside any technique he usually has with his default fighting method which is Jeet Kune Do and throws a barrage of attacks for the sake of dealing devastating damage. It also comes with perks such as Jun Fan being able to make people fear for their lives and is capable of sucking the will to fight out of someone.

I’m pretty sure Gamin Youn was fighting briefly with someone who’s currently a mid tier but was likely a high tier at the time who he showed a glimpse of Jun Fan too. Upon showing him, his opponent was pretty much out of it (in fear) and had even ran away crying which is totally out of character for him. When I say glimpse it’s not as if he used any methods to scare him as in trying to deter him with physical means, I mean that his aura he exudes is what sucked the fighting will out of his opponent.

While Jun Fan isn’t what Park Geonyob is using here it’s still necessary to note since it’s what Gamin Youn himself has been against (referring to his uncle who has taught him all his forbidden skills including Jun Fan).
