What if everything in fiction was canon to each other? Let's talk scaling!

This is a thread about discussing scaling for ALL of fiction if every crossover was canon. Like, a powerscaling crossover web across fiction. Hypothetical of course. It would discuss what would be legitimate scaling and what wouldn't be legit scaling— and anything that was ever made officially and unofficial things that are famous enough— for example, super smash flash 2 counts. It also takes into account Composite character stuff— so, anime only filler is canon to this conversation and is discussed as normal.

One example we could talk about;

Jump Forces, and if Luffy and One Piece characters would scale to Naruto & Bleach—

Let's go over the rules— rather, general guidelines and proposed ideas!

1. In this case, a crossover can mean anything from a cameo appearance in the background, to using a character of the same name, even if they're different characters technically.

If there's a Son Goku (Saiyuki) and Son Goku (the one about a Dragon's Testicles or something...?), then that's omitted and doesn't count. However, for public domain or common characters from myths (Fate's King Arthur & any other story that has a King Arthur in it, or Cthulhu from their mythos and a Cthulhu that isn't connected to the mythos, but has the same aspects or design concept or inspiration or whatever), count as alternate universe versions of the same person.

2. Obvious outliers are obvious. Think about Spider-Man fighting Hulk.

Naruto pre-SoSP couldn't scale to BOG Goku, no matter how much they interact or fight in story/game. Treat this whole crossover as one big verse— with Comic book level horrible scaling!

3. Verse Mechanics (for things like Magic, Chi, and Superpowers) all work the same.

Differences in verse mechanics— like Demon Ki and Human Ki being different in one verse while not being different in another, are all the same. Every restriction and rule and thing that is impossible with Chi in one verse is treated as though the way that verse uses it is just a misinterpretation. Everything but the limitations are canon.

If these general guidelines aren't well explained, ask me for a better explanation.

Let's be nerds!
