A bit of a personal rant
Truth be told I made this to see if anyone still has any interest to talk about the witcher series in the main site. I know I am quite inactive but I'd be willing to help expand and rejuvenate the pages at some extent. Last time there was any group effort towards revising the witcher verse and characters was way back in 2018-2020. After that, basically all interest died down.
There were a few people who wanted to make some changes, some passed some other didn't but as it stands I usually came in late to the party each time.
I was involved with the early establishment of revising the witcher verse since the start as they were outdated as shit even for 2018 standards. Then we made them up to date at that time, which was like half a decade ago jeez. It was fun time, seeing how everyone banded together and realize that this verse was actually interesting as hell to analyze and powerscale while also enjoying its well-written characters and story.
I personally hadn't been able to do much on the verse because fandom wiki has been doing quite a funny troll to me for quite a long time, like two years now. Each time I even tried to look at a picture, it wouldn't load. It would just be a miniscule question mark for the whole site and every fandom wiki that I tried to visit. I was making a little revision for Geralt and witchers by expanding their equipment loadout which wasn't a big deal, I started it around june of 2023. I haven't been able to properly edit it because there would be no pictures loading for me at all, until now which they finally are.
That little hurdle made me nearly quit but at least I could make changes to text and thought it couldn't get any worse. Then the site needed us to use citations and reference list which I am not against but you can point me with a gun and I legitimately couldn't remember all the sources we used on the profile of Geralt, let alone other characters on the verse. And it was an absolutely daunting task to source every single feat to any specific source. All the games, books, rulebooks, artbooks tabletop, etc. We also need to restructure the page because last time that was done was way back in 2019.
Yeah, it was way too much work for one person who also was busy IRL. So I went into hiatus until now which I am looking if there is any interest to see if we can work something out on the witcher profiles. I willing to help and I can finally finish what I had started.
