Gremmy kinda passively dies, he's never demonstrated Blut Vene so it's hard to argue he would be able to stand within Yama's presence without being reduced to ash.

But Royd Lloyd could stand in Yamamoto's presence without passively dying, and he's significantly weaker than this Gremmy.

Royd Lloyd was able to because he was using Blut Vene

I'm not saying Gremmy can't use Blut Vene, because he can, all pure Quincy can, but he relies entirely on The Visionary and never uses Quincy abilities, we never see him use any variation of Blut or even a Quincy bow, he's also not aware of the heat aura so even if we assume he can survive in Yama's presence with Blut Vene, it's extremely unlikely he's going to without knowing ahead of time.

Also want to say, even when he actually blocks Kenpachi's attacks, he does so by imagining his body to be tough instead of using Blut Vene, so yeah, there's really no argument to say he would use it here.

Gremmy could imagine that he's resistant to heat or fireproof. But if Gremmy is in character (aka stupid or limited in his imagination), then Yama wins with East or West. If he's anything like the Kenpachi fight, Gremmy would try to tank the attack or make himself 'fireproof', but then he'd get erased from existence by Yama. But, if Gremmy imagines himself as say...resistant to heat, then Yama might have some trouble. I don't think the meteor would be an issue for Yama, or really anything that Gremmy threw at Kenpachi besides Galaxy Room, which idk if Yama has an answer for. Meanwhile, aside from his Zan abilities, Yama got mastered Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Hoho, and Kido, but Gremmy could more than likely find ways around them.

So to me, it depends on if Gremmy properly defends Yama's existence erasure Bankai or not. There's also the argument that Yama can also be a Reiatsu monster like Kenpachi was and scare Gremmy into panicking or killing himself, since Yhwach said he's the only Quincy that could handle Yama's Bankai, and this was before the Elite received their amps, so Gremmy doesn't necessarily scale to all of them per say.

So, would it be fair to edit things so Gremmy is prepared to deal with Yamamoto's aura?

You can't really do that in a vs thread, all you could do is make Gremmy bloodlusted or out of character, in which case he'd just imagine Yama dead and be done with it.

That probably wouldn't work. Gremmy can't seem to be able to directly do damage to people on his level or higher. He could turn Yachiru's bones to cookies and kill unconscious Kensei and Rose casually, but against Kenpachi he had to resort to using indirect sources of damage such as guns, missiles, lava, crushing, meteors, space, explosions etc.

That was CIS, Gremmy wanted to beat Kenpachi decisively by showing he was the strongest, just imagining Kenpachi dead wouldn't do that.

Regardless, Yama doesn't resist death hax so he dies if you bloodlust or make Gremmy out of character.

So what you're saying is that there is no fair set of starting rules, either one stomps via hax or the other does. Right?
