If I have to put anything on this list, it would have to be Johnny Quest and Space Ghost (NOT the Coast-to-Coast spinoff, the real deal). Both series were largely overlooked for action cartoons. While Johnny Quest, yes, is based around realism, we did have some more interesting sights like Hadji being able to use magic. Oh, and look how friggin' versatile Space Ghost is.

Ultima! It's a really old, surreal, and heartfeltl RPG series with elements from D&D, Doctor Who, Wing Commander, occultism, and so much more. I've been on-and-off making a page for the main character of the series, but progress is slow.

Well, it's been awhile, but I had another possible suggestion: High Guardian Spice. JUST TO CLARIFY, I haven't seen it (though the clip I saw did NOT leave a good impression...), but considering the general premise, I think it should have SOMETHING to work with.

It's... fine.
The characters look nice—Rosemary and Sage are really cute—and the art style is really appealing, but the show just a rocky start. Its first episode was terribly uninteresting, and a lot of the dialogue and the actors' line deliveries just left me in a sour mood. But, I have high hopes. The aforementioned two gals really carry it for me.
