Ok... but like, what is the basis for this? Do we have examples where something like that happened? What is a "decent hit"? How much is "large and powerful" enough to do it?

Because DB characters have resistance to soul manip with Ki??? What are you even saying right now? And I'm pretty sure people in DB have died before. Also, it's clear to me that you read not a single word of what I typed. I said verses that have zero showings of having any type of soul manipulation wouldn't be assumed to be able to tank attacks to the soul. So yes, they would most likely die, or at the very least be significantly damaged.
 
They just want clarification bro thats why they have ignored the two times it has been explained thus far and wont be happy with any further answer or justification that isnt 'soul damage does nothing' or a panel that says 'ki soul damage can one shot people'.

Also this specific contention to soul manip has been conveniently left out of the actual upgrade thread and not brought up until this very moment

Ya know DB isn't the only verse with soul damage? Hollow Knight, Undertale, JJK, etc. all have soul damage and practically every character has a resistance to said soul damage.
And guess what, no one treats them as a one-shot.

Also,
It doesn't matter if it negates dura or not. It should only be resistance if this dura neg would one-shot regular people.
But we don't know that here. You can hit a soul in more ways than just instantly destroying it.

I just read the thread dude there was two people arguing against the point you linked and then the discussion drifted back towards voting for the fight and that point stopped being talked about

I found any 'counters' pretty weak regardless

Its a bigger assumption to think soul manip magically won't work on someone without resistance because said soul manip is always being used on people with resistance than just thinking 'no resistance = damage'

You are effectively arguing for DB soul manip to be useless

No soul resistance ends in you being far more damaged or even dead, rather than if you didn't have it.

Ok... then to what extent? What's the treshold?... if one argues it "significantly damages" or "destroyes in one shot" a soul for those with no soul resistance... then one would need to show examples of one with no resistance receiving such effects, or a statement or something...

We don't. Ki is a UES, and there's nothing really in Daima that would help us. Tilted probably knows better about the Granolah and Moro soul stuff that would be relevant if we tried to figure out specifics

But as a I laid out, trying to not so subtly argue soul manip is effectively useless is nonsensical

I am not arguing it is useless?... when questioned about Soul Manip ignoring durability, you said, and i quote, "not to that extent", therefore, you are also affirming there is a treshold in durability which the soul hax wouldn't work anymore... therefore, i asked to know which extent is the maximum for the soul manip to ignore durability

I am not arguing anything... i am merely asking about it, isn't that normal?

No. I know what your deal is. I'm not going to insult you or anything, but I'm not stupid. I know what this is.

'Not to that extent' I was saying that in reference to the thread that was created. Raditz having soul manip isn’t going to let him beat Infinite

Itd be funny if it did though but it probably wont

As for specifics, the only comparison we do have is the stuff in Granolah and Moro of people with soul manip resist getting their soul manip'd. We could probably upscale or base damage off that, again, I said Tilted would know these examples better off rip
 
The reason is simple: the characters' souls are as powerful as their ki, so they cannot be easily destroyed with a single attack. Even if you killed all the characters in DB, it would be one more layer to resist damage to the soul, because ki is the user's very soul, so it increases all attributes.
 
So does “soul crush” not work on DB characters anymore cos I remember the only person capable of doing anything to bleach chars like couple years ago was infinite Zamasu
