So yeah, I finally finished it.

A little while ago, this cosmology page was agreed upon as a basis for Elden Ring. While I had my gripes back then, there was nothing earth-shatteringly wrong about it so to speak. However, I still saw fit to do my part and revamp the entire thing. Over a year and one entirely new game later, I bring you the completed Elden Ring Cosmology page.

I swear to god this thing took way to long to make.

It goes over everything, starting from the general structure of the Lands Between and its connected realms, to the cosmos, all the way to the foundational rules of the world and its extensions like Nightreign. I hope you all find its contents to not only be valuable, but overall informing. Along with that, as I said in the conclusion, I hope to continue adding to this page and renovating it as needed, an I'll happily take suggestions for the future. For now, however, I just want to vote on the content I have presented and save the rest for a future CRT.

And like an idiot I forgot to do tags lol. Wish there was a way to change them after a post goes live.

Nice work on the blog. In the last tier there was a part where tiers for each place explained for example this one should there be simular in this one or only explanations?

This one for example:
The World/The Microcosm: Low 2-C (The Microcosm is defined by configuration of the Elden Ring which is shown to be the fundamental truth of the Laws of the World, defining all of time and space which was created by a cosmological expansion akin to a big bang, possesing similar gravity to our own reality)

I did consider putting in scaling stuff for planes, but this blog is moreso a basis for the actual world itself without a ton of the VSBW jargon. I do have a scaling blog in the works where this stuff fits better, although for now if you're curious this is the gist:

The World: 5-B (Standard earth-like planet)
Connecting Dimensions: Unknown (Aren't stand alone time-spaces)
The Cosmos: Physically High 3-A (An infinitely sized universe containing various, common-place celestial objects, and one born/expanding following "big bang" cosmological models)
Lightless Abyss: Low 2-C ($th dimensional void containing the cosmos itself)

Yeah you should put the Tiers that each place goes in, in the Blog, along with its explanation TLDR. Maybe in the Conclusion But it looks great

Great work, I don't see anything that stands out atm so this looks fine for now.

Be sure to include this in the OP or sandbox or both

So I think the blog is pretty good and I'm glad I was able to slightly help out with it. My only two notes are the following:
The World: 5-B (Standard earth-like planet)
Connecting Dimensions: Unknown (Aren't stand-alone time-spaces)
The Cosmos: Physically High 3-A (An infinitely sized universe containing various, common-place celestial objects, and one born/expanding following "big bang" cosmological models)
Lightless Abyss: Low 2-C ($th dimensional void containing the cosmos itself)
This should be added as a TL;DR at the end.

Secondly, I don't think the cosmos is High 3-A. The quoted dialogue for Ranni is the following:
私は誓おうすべての生命と、すべての魂にこれよりは星の世紀 月の理、千年の旅 すべてよ、冷たい夜、はるか遠くに思うがよい 恐れを、迷いを、孤独を そして暗きに行く路を さあ、行こうか
The blog translates the highlighted section as "To all, you may think of the chill night as infinitely far away". The issue I have is that looking at the Kanji in some online dictionaries and glossaries that I have access to, this seems to not to actually contain the word for infinite, but rather this is an artistic flair.
I saw a light far away.
When you climb up to the observatory on a clear day, you will see a hazy view of Mt. Fuji in the far distance.
I saw a light far away.
The flood which had overtaken them could not destroy them, but it tore them apart and carried them far away.
From what I can tell, the translation you're using of "infinitely far away" is correct, but it's using it poetically like "The man runs faster than lightning" or "Her mind was a million miles away", or "He stared into the infinite darkness of space." Unless I'm missing something notable, the word infinite in a mathematical spatial sense is not implied in this dialouge.

So I'd view it as:
  • The World: 5-B (Standard earth-like planet)
  • Connecting Dimensions: Unknown, likely 6-B to 6-A (Aren't stand-alone time-spaces)
  • Stars: Vary from 7-C to High 4-C
  • The Cosmos: 3-A (An infinitely expanding universe containing various, common-place celestial objects, and one born/expanding following "big bang" cosmological models)
  • Lightless Abyss/Totality of existence: Low 2-C (Void containing the cosmos itself)
  • Elden Ring/Primordial Nightlord's Rune: Low 2-C (Controls fundamental concepts)
Other than that, I agree with everything presented

Qawsedf's changes have been applied, as well as the wording for the aforementioned sections. With how many staff members have agreed and with no major disagreements, I believe this thread is approved and set to be applied.

The pun wasn't intentional 😭
