Yu-Gi-Oh! General Discussion

Hi, I've been researching card histories lately. I found these two scans about the cosmology. The first is from the Sky Striker manga and the second from the Master Guide 2

The first is the story "Two Adorable Princesses" from Master Guide 2, which states at the beginning that there are countless duel worlds, including that of White Magician Pikeru. The second scan is the first panel of the first chapter of the Sky Striker manga, which mentions limitless possibilities (like Raye's world).
 
I recall the official statement that Card Lore Manga and Card Lore represent different timelines/stories. If further Card Lore-related pages are to be developed, it would be best to distinguish and research “manga” and “Card Lore” separately.
 
Yeah, its kinda like SMT lore and what happens in the games being kinda separate.
Yugioh (main continuity) and yugioh (Duel Monster Lore) are viable enough separate settings.

Except for Dark Magician Girl, who is the only duel monster spirit that actively participates in both stories. (specially season 4)
 
If a Duel Monster Physiology were ever created, how would it be applied? Since the origin of the monsters varies depending on the series.

well, in season 4 we see that duel monsters summoned thru the duel disks have the same tringle explosion effect.

guess it can be stuff like them having infinite stamina, being able to kill ghosts, regenerate with certain cards and effects from being exploded into triangles, etc.

It doesn't really depend on the series, it's very consistent on how duel monsters are created
 
Well this would make Leviathan/the dark sun Dartz summons casually at least 2-B.
The dark sun casually absorbed all Duel Monsters across the multi dimension layered duel mosnter dimension (YGO GX) but the Dark Magician Girl resistance.
 
Wouldn't it be 2-A, given the infinite possibilities/worlds of the Sky Striker manga? Although, of course, it's just One scan; I haven't finished the manga yet.

Statement about card game cosmology applies to an anime-only villain?
Also, how do we know it absorbed all Duel Monsters across the multi-dimensional universe, as opposed to, say, all the monsters in their universe?

Well, without the card game "cosmology" being applied here, the Orichalcos Dark Sun had already absorbed all duel monsters but DMG and her resistance gang.

It is implied to be the entire 12 dimensional duel monsters setting since monsters Yugi's deck has fought/GX DMG has met exist in the Duel Monster world and there being different dimensions is common knowledge. So its reasonable she'd know about the structure of her own universe as well. She states that if Leviathan is not stopped, both universes were going to be destroyed.

This is all before Leviathan is even done absorbing the power of the god cards and being fully ressurected too.

The issue is that there's more than 1 duel monsters world, so she's likely just referring to the main spirit world we see in the anime, Which is just universal. I don't see why the 11 other dimensions would also be affected.

How does everyone feel about my scans regarding horakhty? Does it prove that she created the infinite multiverse with the "Light of creation" and does it prove that she was the only one who could drestroy/erase zorc?

I don't think Takahashi was saying Horakhty created the multiverse. He says that multiverse was born from light and darkness, which as we know are actual forces inverse. Granted, Horakhty is stated to be able to use the light of creation so maybe at most she can use the light that created the multiverse, but that's about it.

I think this is just an attempt to downplay the verse. By lore, Horakthy IS the creator god of the verse.

Explain what a "creator god" is without sounding desperate at trying to deny Yugi the 2-A/Low 1-C

No one is denying 2-A Yugi lol, I have Yugi and the verse way higher than 1-C, was just saying that I don't think Takahashi was talking about Horakhty in that statement. Light and Darkness could've created the manga multiverse while Horakhty created the main universe, she can use the light that created the multiverse anyway so she would still be that strong.
 
Its just that this thread has been trying to find more and more scans of the manga saying the same thing.
Horakthy is a creator god.

What is a creator god? One that made the universe. Simple as.
 
I don't wish to dampen anyone's enthusiasm, but rather than debating whether Horakhty created the multiverse or if the YGO universe exists in higher dimensions, I think it would be better to start afresh. Re-watch the YGO anime/manga and revisit the OCG lore to see what feats could be added to flesh out the YGO characters. The character entries on the wiki are outdated.
It's akin to wanting to build a deck: merely obsessing over combos without actually duelling, testing, or adding cards is pointless—like constructing a house without laying proper foundations.
