Situational tbh.
In Vol 1 it was after his name change and his abilities coming back. Also Nell's death and rage against Gilver had him on edge.
Chen was personal because he was misappropriating family swordsmanship
V in 5 because he mentioned Vergil.

Depends?

In base/human form its only the fear stuff if he is bloodlusted or going all out, others like empowerment are always passive (so the more a fight goes the stronger Dante becomes besides his AD/RE)

In DT its the whole soul crush, mind fuckery, madness inducing aura, possibly corruption too but Dante isn't one to let his demonic power run amok and corrupt things even while bloodlusted so no
 
For 2-3 years (please specify how long exactly) Dante was working towards regaining Tier 1, and Kratos waited for his archrival to begin their next match. And now it ends in a draw? Seriously?

Lowkey we are just discussing from lore standpoint. From a collab perspective, they have to equalize the fields anyways which would result in a close quarter combat

Heck, we had Luffy fighting Goku at one point. And blud was somewhere to save the galaxy.

This is why I suggest we discuss things in a proper H2H combat scenario using skills and weapon types instead of going into details. It makes things more engaging this way.

Obviously, but dante is applied as a layer and passive merchant so you are unable to discuss him any other way.

If you want a fight showcase with 2 characters using a all their weapons and stuff watch Ninja of War 3 part series on youtube. It's an animated fight between kratos and ryu. Actually nutty.

Dante has more layers and the DMC pages are way more impressive than GOW overall

Bro... The amount of downplay here is insane, lmao. Kratos isn't even touching Dante in the first place, and also i dont know why the Immeasurable speed was removed when we have Mundus who is above time-space.
 
I wanna ask something, what does Conceptual Invulnerability mean in Kratos profile? Does it mean that he's invulnerable to any layers of CM1?

the death battle team doesnt care much about powerscaling, plus they dont do deep research on stuff. clive winning was likely inspired by the combat director saying he would beat dante, despite the fact that this was only his opinion and he has no impact on both characters writing
 
Clive is a nothingburger of a character and FFXVI did not sell at all.
So, they thought it would be cool to make dante lose to him to support the underdog when no one ever asked for that matchup.

Heck, clive does not even have a profile.
 
So Kratos got some changes, I recommend switching this to either God Key or Hope Key.

Sooo;
  • God Kratos has Hadean Energy to nullify resistances, Fires of Ares for Invulnerability to the Redeemed Warriors, which includes their ability to manipulate Soul/CM1/Luck shii and their entire powers in general.
  • He has the Powers of Fates, which includes Fate Manipulation, Casualty and Probability. Albeit he does mostly use this to travel through time and manipulate it instead.
  • His Hope variant has all of the above, with Death Manipulation and Resistance Neg on top with innate CM1 Invulnerability.
  • As the general discussion of the thread has been, Dante can't neg Invulnerability(or at least there wasn't something brought up about that) and he doesn't resist Resistance Neg currently.
So, Kratos negs. For all of 2 seconds.

Invulnerability is getting essentially nuked, leaving Kratos with no defense against Dante's meme layers. I will say he could maybe get a attack in with his Resistance Neg through Hadean Energy, and kill Dante, but Dante's Regen should mean he comes back and negs lmao (maybe I think? He's Mid Godly even tho souls are supposed to be CM1 lmao).

Anyway Kratos negs for the 2 seconds atm, till standards **** him plenty, in which Dante memes on him with eastern lvl layers.

Doesn't matter. No Resistance to Resistance Negation, and no Invulnerability Negation.

He's cooked. Well, until Invulnerability in general gets nuked. However Kratos negs atm.

@Pepsimanslover That's still up for debate and some staff are in disagreement on changing the name. Invulnerability would get a change based on what can or cannot count as Invul but it's not getting nuked.

Only the ones without a mechanism would get removed. As for Kratos invul, he has it via CM. So Kratos's CM allows him to be immune to his verse magic (which includes CM, Soul, Mind and Probability manip).
