Off topic but i love how people genuienly dont think hakai can kill immortals because beerus said he cant do it (doesnt even mention hakai btw) then in the next panel he says dont underestimate it and they bave something more convienient (obviously talking abt hakai/existance erasure)

So you're saying there are multiple universes, and the universe you're asserting in by saying,

In this context, Beerus’s words are not serious. Go back to the part before this context, where Beerus appears angry and tense about what is happening. When Whis spoke and said he would go, Beerus exploded in anger and told him that he would create a parallel world if he did that. At that moment, when Goku asked him, Beerus spoke in a non-serious tone just to keep Goku away, saying he couldn’t kill the immortals lightly because of his dimensions, as Beerus didn’t want to get involved or travel, since he would be punished and pressured. You can follow the full context to understand what was said. Beerus’s words were not accurate; they were just meant to keep Goku and the others away and prevent insistence.

Furthermore, Goku’s use of Hakai against Zamasu would have succeeded in erasing him if Zamasu hadn’t attacked Mai at the last moment to stop Goku from completing the Hakai. Otherwise, Zamasu would have been completely erased from existence, ending him permanently, which clarifies everything.

One must understand the context and these details carefully before speaking.

Yea goku used it against zamasu and it worked i rnb that i just find it funny rhat people genuienly think hakai cant kill immortals 😭

Yes, moreover, as I told you, Beerus’s words in this context were only meant to keep Goku and his companions from insisting that he go with them. Before this context, he was angry from the insistence and from Whis, shouting at them, saying “Don’t go, you’ll create a parallel world,” and insisting that the gods cannot violate the laws or travel, and so on. But after all that, Goku asked him in a somewhat mocking way, and Beerus replied, “I cannot kill the immortals” in a deceitful way, lying to Goku just to protect his own dimensions and his companions, not because he truly could not. In the manga, Goku would have actually erased Zamasu from existence using Hakai if Zamasu hadn’t grabbed Mai.

If I'm not mistaken, the original manga specifically mentions Zamasu's immortality, although the anime specifically refers to Zamasu, but in the manga we seem to see a mistranslation. However, if you mix the two, an immortal being like Zamasu is considered a "cheat," even though we have Majin Buu and Cell.

So, even if Goku erased Zamasu with Hakai, he should have been able to regenerate his body. Null's response about splitting the timeline is an anime exclusive; I've also provided an album with an explanation not much different from what Null said.

So, in conclusion, regardless of history, the "Zero Mortal Plan" will always exist, even if Future Trunks doesn't return or returns to the present. That's why the same three events repeat themselves; it's like history is already written.

Well the hakai wouldnt conceptually erase him. Im pretty sure not all existence erasure completely erases the person from memory, time, etc; i dont think it erased the dr slump guy in that way either so yea the events still happen its not like he was erasing zamasu from everything. but feel free to correct me if im wrong

In the anime, Hakai works by influencing space-time, as Beerus stated, which is why he believes he can destroy Zamasu by killing him in one point in time (limited causality manipulation through Hakai). However, because Zamasu has the Time Ring protecting him, the paradox is resolved by creating a new timeline (ending like mortal logic). In any world, the Zero Mortal Plan will happen, even if Trunks goes back to the past, it will happen in another world, which is why Zamasu is always protected by the Time Ring. That's why he needs to go to the future to kill Zamasu in the future world, but the rules/taboo forbid it, so only Whis goes to the future and asks Beerus on that world to use his authority.

Now, in the manga, the scene of Goku Black being protected by the Time Ring is missing, and then Beerus explicitly says, "I've done my job here, I'll leave it to you guys there," or whatever, which indicates that Hakai works slightly differently in the two continuities.

The timeline with a living Future Zamasu was Future Trunks's world. Then, Zen-Oh erased Future Trunks's world. Then, Future Trunks rewrote the history of his world and had Whis from the past visit and inform Future Beerus of Zamasu, creating a timeline where Zamasu is dead.

Goku destroyed Zamasu's physical form, but his spirit is also immortal, which is why the anime's Infinite Zamasu exists and why Garlic Jr. could break free from inside of the Dead Zone, which freezes the body and soul. Had Goku's Hakai was completed, he either could have regenerated from complete destruction or persisted in his spiritual form.

So wait did whis save the supreme kai..? He died in the future timeline which is why there was no beerus

pretty sure he's talking about a sealing technique (probably the one he used against elder kai)
 
I hate when people say stuff like “hakai can’t kill immortals” because Zamasus immortality is vastly different than another series lol
 
Wait that’s a good question actually if Goku actually fully “erased” Zamasu would he have regenerated or just stayed as a spiritual form ???

I get it, but he still has that statements for solar system busting, and we have manga Goku low-multiv when he has 0 feats for this and only 1 statement from character's opinion. Frieza has more statements that Goku in BoG manga and a decent feat with Genkidama from the entire universe but somehow he didn't get it.

"Immortals" in Dragonball logic is very high tier as far as immortality goes, basically angels and this granted immortality by super Shenron, people like buu aren't seen as immortals there

Their other plan was a sealing ability

No, Hakai erases the mind, the body, and the soul as well. Those who are erased by Hakai cease to exist completely, and their souls do not go to the afterlife, because Hakai erases the soul, the body, and the mind, as stated in the work itself. If Goku had completed the Hakai on Zamasu, he would have been erased entirely and everything would have ended. If Zamasu were truly confident in his immortality, he would not have panicked and used Mai as a shield to stop the Hakai. This proves that he is also incapable of surviving if he were completely erased by Hakai. Do not forget that Hakai erases the mind, the body, and the soul, not just the body, and for this reason, anyone who is killed by Hakai will not exist in the afterlife.
