bruh moment
Well, APART rom that. If it didn't start inside it would be a massive stomp, so there's that.

"that somehow he wouldn't have infected a single cell before she does that?"

Not somehow, it would be impossible for a character infinitely slower. Cancer would also be long gone the moment she moves a muscle, as I said before.

Dude....Okay, here's why she can sense it.

1) She can sense life-force energy (Something everything has) on a multiversal (2-B) scale.

2) She can see a status window which alerts her of abnormal status affects.
Right. But she still needs to think. Her Speed is Infinite, her reaction time is not. Her first seconds after seeing "Cancer" on her status screen will probably be spent thinking "Can-cer? What is a Cancer?" before figuring out it's a disase and not a curse or something like that.

YungManzi said:
Uh, her reaction time very much scales to combat...I don't know how it wouldn't...
She will still not know what Cancer is at first and "still" needs to "go fast" if she hopes to kill Cancer before it infects a single cell of her. Her screen shows status, but it isn't a dictionary on how diseases work (Which i still fail to see how it would work against him since he is already inside the body and unless her movement is able to somehow damage any bacteria inside her it wouldn't work, and if the bacteria damaged her it would also damage any other microorganism which would mean she would have died from the lack of beneficial external organisms a long time ago and so on and so on...)

Cut away the tissue containing the fictional cancer cell.

Depending on the location of the cancer cell, if the cell is in her vital organ (considered more times than not here) cancer cell wins.

If not, the girl wins - living on without a part of a body tissue.

what if the cancer cell is in her brain?

She doesn't need to cut off a body part.

She just moves and the foreign cancer cell gets destroyed.

I vote Raphtalia (Even though I think this is a lopsided mismatch)

Are her casual movements 2-C or something? Like, she goes to shop at infinite speed with 2-C foot stomps and body movements? Because that's not how cancer works, if that was how it worked there would be no cancer in real world.

What are you talking about?

What's not how cancer works?

Is cancer now massless?

And I never brought up her AP in regards to this, at least not as a reason for her winning.

Nah, but before she realizes cancer is within her body, and she has not even a single idea what cancer is, he's going to spread through her body and become part of her. Believe or not, a person with cancer in real life can't kill it by moves just like you can't kill your cells by moving

Conditions are too wack.

It's like saying [insert character] vs Sword. Sword starts in [insert character]'s heart or face.

Raphtalia isn't a person in real life. She's someone with infinite combat and reaction speed.

So even if it's a cell which is already inside of her body (Which really should be against some kind of verses thread rule), the possibility of it speed blitzing her is 0.

People also need to remember that this "Cancer" dude was defeated by one white blood cell and one killer-T cell: less than a regular person's immune system, there is no guarantee that it can even successfully infect someone.

Has this been added already? Because if not, Cancer FRA.

This is the funniest match I've seen since MoP vs Thunder.

No. read what I've already posted multiple times.

Cancer is not part of her, her own cells can survive moving at those speeds, but that doesn't mean cancer can.

The discussion as it pertains to whether or not this should be against versus thread rules needs its own thread.

Edit:

A least in terms of adding a battle like this to profiles.

Are people still trying to assert that this "Cancer" cell can even get past a person's immune system when it literally lost against a few White Blood and Killer T cells?

Because Raph's body doesn't have the same kind of protection a human body has? They literally have never seen cancer in their world, so the idea that the body would be able to react to a hostile organism that doesn't even exist is kinda ridiculous. That's like having a nurgling appear in our world, no matter how good our medicine is we don't have a single idea how it's diseases would work.

Also, Cancer cell can't even be compared to real Cancer. He is MUCH stronger and eldritch.

As for haivng him start inside her.... welll, duh, what you expect? It would be a stomp if it started outside.

"As for haivng him start inside her.... welll, duh, what you expect? It would be a stomp if it started outside."

That's the point, if it can't be a fair fight without giving one character a ridiculous advantage; then it shouldn't even be considered legitimate. It's just a mismatch.

Imagine Goku Vs. Kaguya, but Goku starts off with an ash bone already in his chest. That's the kind of battle this is.

Rapthalia's wincon is to find a cure/heal potion at least for cancer in the vicinity but the chance that is happening is very low. At least she has a wincon though especially with her speed.

I'd say it's more like Yoshikage Kira vs Jotaro Kujo(Eyes Of Heaven) but Jotaro had his hands chopped off and starts already as a bomb. His only chance is to stop time before Yoshikage detonates him and then try to kick him to death.

Uh, no. An OP might impose a change or limitation if it means that the fight can go from a stomp to a fair one. A good example of this the Medaka vs Kars fight where the Hero was restricted because otherwise she would win easily. Same applies here. And no, this is not a "ridiculous" advantage. This advantage given to Cancer is the difference between instant death and an actual chance to beat her.

Besides, i feel like you are extremely salty over this match, given how furiously you are defending Raph and refusing to acknowledge the fact that maybe, just maybe, Cancer and sickness can kill even a strong foe who doesn't have a way to defend against it (Oh, hi, Goku!). And that's without going into the fact you are changing the goalposts every time someone presents an valid argument on why she would lose by inventing another way she could beat Cancer.

Yeah but she has 0 ways to win, since if she doesn't know Cancer is inside her body then she just... dies eventually. This is a stomp either side of the coin.

@Bot

Your own example is an out of context outlier.

The Hero was a given exception because of its controversial nature. There was even a note on her page.

"Be wary when using "The Hero" in VS Threads. Unless her opponent has some way to counter it or has other plot based abilities, it should likely be disabled for that match. The nature of the ability has the potential to allow those with the status to win against characters they would otherwise have no feasible way to win against, if the match would be inconclusive due to Medaka being carried by "The Hero" alone to make up for a difference in statistics, then those matches are unadvised. Matches with "The Hero" turned off may still be added to the profile without issue."

That's also a completely different situation and circumstance. Restricting an ability is not the same as spawning a character in an unavoidable, deadly situation.

Also, stop using the appeal to motive fallacy. I genuinely believe this is just a bad way to set up a match and just shouldn't be allowed to be added on a profile. Whether or not Cancer dies from Raphtalia moving fast or it kills her, it's just a bad setup.

If someone looks mostly like a human and acts like a human, that person probably biologically functions very much like a human.

Also, the anime-depiction cancer cell is not at all stronger than an actual cancer cell considering how it died by being beat to death by white blood cells.
