At what point do we distinguish religion from mythology?

This forum forbirds the use of religions followed in mass. But allows Mythology because 'they're not worshipped anymore'.

But what if we have some Neo-Pagans who still worship Zeus and stuff? Do you care about their feelings? Where is the line drawn?

The line is drawn where the consideration of a character as 'fictional' has the potential to insigate debate and controversy between members of our community. This is why those such as the Judeo-Christian God, the prophet Muhammad, etc. are not allowed, and will never be allowed.

At present, controversy has not arisin regarding the inclusion of ancient mythical deities, and they can be kept

We also don't want to instigate massive controversy with our visitors either, so we try to err on the safe side.

So that's why you don't bring up Hinduism. I see.

But what about ancient religions that have been continiously followed for centuries to this day?

Say, Zoroastrianism or Yezidism. The latter is a mixture of Abrahamic faiths and Iranic Islamic traditions. The former is a religion as old as Judaism but with little followers. That'd be irrelevant so long as you have no visitors from minority religions here right? Or you wouldn't take the risks?

We likely would not include anyone/thing from those religions. Greek and Roman gods are alright, as there has never been any major controversy over classifying them as 'mythology', but is is best to err on the side of caution whenever we deal with any religion, major or not
