Cell is Adapted to Your Favourite Verse

If Cell from Dragonball Z was adapted into the continuity of your favourite series, what would happen?

  • What parts of his backstory changes to fit your verse's canon?
I'll be using an obscure verse for this...

City of Heroes. Chances are instead of Goku it'd be the Statesman he'd be after, otherwise he'd probably be fine.
  • Who/What could be used in place of Androids 17 and 18?
Very little, probably, unless you're gonna pull specific members of Arachnos out to play.
  • When in the story would he pop up?
Well, it'd have to be BEFORE Statesman is canonically offed during Issue 22.
  • How does the story change due to his presence? Does he kill certain people? Does the deaths of countless civilians change the main characters' priorities?
Chances are he'd catch a lot of heroes' attention and be taken down that way, but if he manages to kill Statesman... he's gonna have problems. Specifically with Lord Recluse and the entirety of Arachnos now on his dick he'd probably be killed soon afterwards like the guy who actually managed to kill Statesman in-story.
  • Does he usurp the Big Bad and become the main villain, or is he trumped instead?
Depends on the big bad, but I'll use Lord Recluse for this example...

No. Th-the answer is no.
  • If a resistance is mounted against him by the main characters, what would it take to defeat him before he reaches Perfection?
Beating his ass in because he'd make himself known and get railed by either the Surviving Eight, Player heroes/villains, or someone like Lord Recluse.
  • Who would stand against him in the Cell Games? What would happen if they won/lost?
Chances are people like the heroes would, but otherwise he'd probably get ganked by some of the less then happy individuals
  • If he's too strong for your verse, how would it play out if he wasn't?
Keep in mind, all of this was done assuming his perfect form is around Statesman/Emperor Cole/Lord Recluse tier in Perfect, because they're the non-incarnate god-tiers of the verse. If he was at normal power he just blitzes and sweeps lol

Cookie Run: Kingdom for the context of this post
What parts of his backstory changes to fit your verse's canon?
Cell is now a Cookie, this doesn't actually mean anything other than additional hax since Cookie Run makes every crossover character a Cookie as if they always were one.
  • Who/What could be used in place of Androids 17 and 18?
What would happen: Android 17 Cookie and Android 18 Cookie
What would be cool: The Soul Jams, basically the strongest artifacts evvaarrr, with each one in the possession of a member of The Five
  • When in the story would he pop up?
What would happen: His own self-contained story after he/the main gang enters a portal to go through to the Cookie World/DB Earth

What would be cool: In the main story after World 12 (where after Healer Cookie is discovered to be Pure Vanilla Cookie and his Soul Jam is restored to its former glory thanks to main squad), Imperfect Cell Cookie ambushes the protagonists, blinds them all with a Solar Flare (does this mean the Z-Fighters are also Cookies?), evaporates Pure Vanilla Cookie, steals his Soul Jam and dips
  • How does the story change due to his presence? Does he kill certain people? Does the deaths of countless civilians change the main characters' priorities?
  • Does he usurp the Big Bad and become the main villain, or is he trumped instead?
What would happen: Nuh uh, the main gang fights him and they either win or it's a stalemate or they team up to fight a bigger evil like Dark Enchantress Cookie or something. Cookie Run is not that brave with its crossovers

What would be cool: He repeatedly appears and disappears throughout the campaign (which proceeds like normal, Cookie Odyssey doesn't happen at all because everyone's Soul Jams are getting nabbed, so the characters in that plotline either resume what they're doing or mention that they've tried hunt down Imperfect Cell Cookie but failed), stealing the Soul Jams of The Five after main protags are exhausted from the battles they fought to secure their safety. Sometimes he fights the main protags and loses due to the fact that it's a video game, but isn't thoroughly defeated and instead just buzzes off. The main protagonists are still attempting to stop Dark Enchantress Cookie, but have the secondary goal of protecting (what remains of) The Five from Cell Cookie

He'd end up taking Hollyberry Cookie's Soul Jam because the main protagonists aren't in the vicinity whatsoever, and the only characters near her--The Pitaya Dragon, Knight Cookie and Princess Cookie--are drained of power and, in the case of the latter two, were literal fodder. Hollyberry tells the two Cookies to flee (the Pitaya Dragon was already driven away) to fight Imperfect Cell Cookie alone. Cell Cookie wins after a hard-fought battle, blowing her up, absorbing the 2nd Soul Jam and turning Semi-Perfect.

He wouldn't take Dark Cacao Cookie's Soul Jam though. The main protagonists beat the manifestation of his Soul Jam so bad that his real self is kneeling on the floor and exhausted, Cell Cookie would arrive and wouldn't even notice the Soul Jam's power level because Dark Cacao Cookie was that beaten. The main protagonists fight him and drive him away, Dark Cacao Cookie is the only member of The Five with his Soul Jam intact so far, and he travels with the main protagonists alongside Caramel Arrow Cookie and Crunchy Chip Cookie (devoted followers) for safety purposes

And after that, idk loool i didn't play the rest of the CRK campaign. If things follow the same agenda as before, Cell Cookie takes Golden Cheese Cookie's Soul Jam after the final fight of that world, turning into Perfect Cell Cookie
  • If a resistance is mounted against him by the main characters,
The Creme Republic does this in an act of revenge for Cell Cookie killing their "king". They don't have the firepower or tracking technology yet due to lacking Pure Vanilla Cookie's Soul Jam, so they often just show up stationed in random areas or the player's Kingdom to assist the MCs in other ways. Dark Enchantress Cookie puts her plans on hold to deal with Cell Cookie because she wants to rule the world but he wants to destroy it + she can't beat someone with the power of 3 Soul Jams alone. Therefore she allies with the protags to focus on taking down Cell Cookie

If he beats Dark Cacao Cookie, he absorbs the 4th Soul Jam and turns into Super Perfect Cell Cookie. White Lily's Soul Jam is a non-factor because White Lily is Dark Enchantress, and Dark Enchantress doesn't have a Soul Jam
  • what would it take to defeat him before he reaches Perfection?
The MCs blitzing him before he even fires the Solar Flare and destroys him immediately in the Pure Vanilla encounter (out of character), otherwise he's relative to them and quick to escape
  • Who would stand against him in the Cell Games? What would happen if they won/lost?
The main protagonists because their power genuinely fluctuates to fit the context, every Legendary Cookie, Ancient Cookie and every combat-focused Epic Cookie.

If they win, his relevance on the story basically ends there. The Soul Jams are expunged from Cell Cookie's body and they eventually reincarnate the killed members of The Five back into existence, Dark Enchantress Cookie sneaks off with (most) of her forces and goes back to being evil, Dark Cacao Cookie finally leaves the MCs team to head back to his own kingdom and things enter a state of normalcy where the MCs deal with Dark Enchantress but never permanently get rid of her (because it's a campaign for a gacha game), side stories continue on as if Cell Cookie wasn't there

If they lose, the planet is destroyed, just like he promised. The Sugar Swan isn't killed, though, and uses her magical shaper of the universe powers to just erase Cell Cookie and revert the planet to the way it was before, Whis-style.......... let's just say that doesn't happen and he gets a W for once

As for the rest of the verse, the Tier 1s (that aren't on the wiki) don't give a damn about the Cookie World and are oblivious, letting Cell Cookie keep doing whatever he wants.

Who knows; maybe the Time Balance Department will start a Xenoverse-esque faction, and Timekeeper Cookie recruits Xeno Gingerbrave or something to take down Super Perfect Cell Cookie, and he can't really permanently beat them since there's a bajillion Timekeeper Cookies across time that would want him gone because she's petty as hell (she threatened to create a timeline where Ananas Dragon Cookie never got into the finals of a tournament after he gloated in her general vicinity, if she knew Cell Cookie destroyed the TBD in another timeline that would be wraps for him)
  • If he's too strong for your verse, how would it play out if he wasn't?
The fodder is 2-B and have passive data transmutation and fatehax

Cell in BlazBlue would be horrifying. I imagine he'd be one of Relius Clover's creations that he randomly made one day and Relius would just throw him at people for "research." Kind of like an evil version of what Kokonoe does with Lambda in Continuum Shift, where she has Lambda-11 get into fights to get combat data so that she can improve her. Or, maybe Relius and Hazama/Terumi could have used him for their plan in that same game. I guess I'll just keep writing about how Cell would be in Continuum Shift because that's the one I have the most ideas for.

Lambda-11 and Noel/Mu-12 are the easiest choice for the stand-ins for 17 and 18. Cell simply obtaining the Sword Summoner or Steins Gunner drives through absorption and straight up becoming something like a Murakumo Unit himself sounds like a genuinely cool but also hilarious idea. IDEA Engine Cell also sounds cursed. I think Cell would try to usurp Relius and Terumi, but knowing how smart the latter two are, they'd probably put a stop to it. If Cell had to reach his perfect form, I could imagine Cell being at the end of Continuum Shift alongside Hazama, waiting for his chance to absorb Mu-12. He could also absorb Lambda when she sacrifices herself to save Ragna after he gets attacked.

There'd be a scene with Ragna cursing out Cell for absorbing them, and Cell would hit Ragna with a sly yet classy and formal remark of his own. IDEA Engine Ragna VS Perfect Cell also with the IDEA Engine would be a very crazy fight. If Cell won, he'd probably destroy the world like he planned to like in Dragon Ball, then go after the Master Unit since he now wields the power of Mu-12, which the Central Fiction glossary states that Mu-12 could destroy the Master Unit. However, I think Ragna would probably prevail in the end because that makes for a more satisfying ending.
