Everybody Wants to Die 3: Fun Guy Edition (Game Thread)

Well well...

Upon seeing the effectiveness of X's attacks, Elfen steps down through the dimensions back onto Earth. They had modified their reality warping paper tag ability to be delivered through words. Transcendental Power was now fully charged and Elfen wasted no time to use this immense power that could pierce all defenses on the Thing flying towards X.

"You shall become VULNERABLE." Elfen declared. A wave that carried their words' power spread out towards the thing, overwriting existence as it advanced.

At the same time they held out their hands and started coninuously pulling duplicates of X's projectiles from time, especially from the Thorn.

@Hl3_or_bust

"You are going nowhere."

Labors all activate, impeding the Thing further, with damage and debuffs alike.

Orbital Blackness is cast from her position, an all consuming dark forming around The Thing, to impede its pursuit and understanding of location, while telekinesis was applied to drag it back.

Greed is cast, a magic that interferes with the very concepts of the world, to attempt to claim the Thing's weapon, that damned Cleaver, as her own. While more blades are conjured to replace the damaged one, and sent at her target, cleaving through existence. All the while, she attempts to purge the existential interference of this realm, or at least lessen it, through her inherited power as a Primarch, doing so around her attacks in particular, and the attacks of her allies, so that they might strike true.

Though the thing is the main target, she attempts to deal as much damage as possible to its world while in here.

"Seems as though these slashes are the only thing working against these worlds, so I may as well make more" Changing the structure of the blade so that it would be more aerodynamic and lighter, then began to reinforce the blade, increasing its top speed, acceleration, and sharpness, and began to dance the simple yet complex dance that was the aria swordsmanship, cut, slash and stab, cut, slash and stab, over and over and over again, all in the meanwhile continuing to push toward the veil and where Thing is all the while making the really big gun

@Overlord775

While the heavily warped chunks of the core do not seem to directly affect the veil itself, to say that it was quite the spectacle is a bit of an understatement. Individual shards of toxic ice are on par with some of the largest natural glaciers, each forming small storms as the friction of re-entry heats them up and the sheer size of the shards tending to "drag" the clouds along with them.

@DMUA

As Dieman moves into the veil, a strange feeling washes over him despite the lack of difficulty. It is clear he does not belong here, with his lack of... well, anything normally required for living things to function, this places wants him to be dead but cannot fully act on that. Around him is a serene scene, of massive cedar trees extending impossibly high into the clouds. He can sense the TSBs floating nearby having bored through a few of the aforementioned trees, but they are dormant, likely due to the separation of this world from the outside. Even further away, he can feel what is presumably the Thing and a distinctly pissed Aya rapidly ascending.

@CrimsonStarFallen

Matricardo 1, 2, 3's blast easily tears through everything between it and the veil, and even seems to have a significant effect on the latter, causing it to swell and warp visibly.

@deonment

For whatever reason, Psychis' progress and attacks are relatively unimpeded. In fact, it's as though these outer extrusions of the veil are weakening somewhat, and although the exact reason is not discernable to him, guesses can be made.

@Thing fight

As many, many reductions to power are layered onto the Thing, it can be noted, with some concern, that such things appear to be much less effective than normal. However, the extreme barrage of attacks is not.

First, Aya's many blades tear into the Thing, even as many as deflected or destroyed by it's adept and strangely familiar usage of the cleaver, given that it's other limb is busy. Unfortunately, despite it's power, Greed appears wholly ineffective against the blade, although the reason why is two-fold: the world Aya currently stands within is working against such powers, and the blade itself is of such a scale of potency that it would likely not be wholly effective anyways.

Second, X's fire continues to be uniquely effective. The infectious and potent ideals of the Thorn are an almost perfect counter to the environment created by the Thing, tearing through and damaging it despite it's best efforts along with the rest of his fire. Elfen's duplicated projectiles are, while not equally so, effective as well, with his condemnation of the Thing's resilience increasing such yet further. Matricardo 4's barrage of status-affecting projectiles seems to trigger something within the Thing, as while it is clearly, and at least partially, affected by many of them, it's right arm shortly thereafter explodes into a mess of plant and animal parts, intermixed and growing out of each other. This new appendage violently flies out at all four present, accompanied by wild thrashing.

The Thing, subject to this onslaught, is, the new appendage notwithstanding, little more than flecks of meat and plant matter held together in a vaguely humanoid shape, but this does not impede it. In fact, it only appears yet more ferocious, slashing out at all four attackers in unusually sophisticated ways, working to divide the mental links between themselves and the power they command as well as attacking their forms, even seeming to "skip" over it's own world and any attacks that could potentially catch the blade.

But, despite it's wild movements, the Thing is totally silent. The four are not even technically in space, as the Thing's world appears to extend upwards indefinitely with no "outer space" to be found, and yet it seems as though it releases no sound. Even it's face, or what could be generously assumed to be such, is still, as though in contemplation. All the while, those with more spiritual sensory capabilities nearby could notice the glowing, jagged symbol above the Thing growing only brighter and sharper.

"Suck it, current dimension of my residence"

After insulting the very ground he walks, Dieman bends his legs and leaps off of it, flying at high speed towards the Thing before covering his blade with the Dark red substance again, and this time, it fires off, sending a massive wave of blackness towards the thing.

Matricardo 2 and 3 fuse themselves back into Matricardo 1, their mass going directly into his right arm, which seems to tense up greatly. Matricardo 4 leaves a purple ring of status effects at The Thing before vanishing back to his original universe.

Matricardo, now whole again, punches at the veil with his right arm while using C-Moon gravity effects on the veil, literally rending space-time itself as he pierces through and enters the battle against The Thing.

All the while, he was using Understanding to see what effects are best suited against The Thing, and concluded that would be his Magic after all. In fact, his Magic was at his most power in a battle of laws and concepts. He quickly forms an Imago and materializes it as a projectile, which he shoots at The Thing and, more importantly, at the Veil itself, atempting to drown out any laws placed in this dimension with its own. It is a Life+Matter spell of the level 4 scale.

The Thing is not welcome. Scatter, permanently.

Sam not having a better option teleports back to the rest of the group in a form that looks like a ton of metal scrap wielded together using vats to slow her descent. "Some help here please?" I ask quietly give the situation.

This is where the illusions that Elfen cast early on in the battle would come into play. Their mastery over illusions was such that they could fool even this world. The illusionary versions of everyone being targeted would completely overshadow the real ones, acting on their own before presumably being destroyed by the Thing. To further fool their adversary, Elfen uses their non-illusionary reality warping in tandem with their illusions. In the best case scenario this would give their allies a free action.

"He he..." Elfen smiles mischievously as they step through dimensions to get out of the various attacks' reach, appearing near Sam [@Lou] and healing them.

From there they would continue to keep their distance, support X and cast powerful magical forcefields on everyone near the Thing. The fact that casting time and incantations were not required due to Cast Cancel especially improved the effectiveness of the latter.

Seeing the comets amount to just snowflakes, the mushroom gets angry, like REALLY angry, They'll come in there and beat the spirit with their own two hands.

"PERIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISH !"

The king of all that is fungus covers themselves in a sphere of chaos and disease, slamming themselves into the veil to erase/rot their way in !

Sam smiles transforming back into a human this time going on the supportive with sacrifice and potion buffs shoting less and using instinct to target in coming projects from the veil.

"******* die."

X does not relent fire at all, taking heed of all possible futures he can see but not binding himself by them, he remains on the offensive while making sure to avoid the enemy's attacks.

"Accept your demise."

Rung out from Aya, though it was less of a voice and more of a distorted mockery of sound. The blades continue firing, slashing with the nature of the void, these are used to strike at the incoming limbs and at the enemy itself, though Aya moves as well, while her movement leaves distortions in her wake.

Gopherwood Ark activates, speeding up time on a localized scale, were it to be possible, and inflicting Death Ineluctable and Summonless upon the foe. This time, it would die, and it would die for certain, with no chance of coming back.

The Labors activate, as always, to impede the enemy, continuing to layer on harmful effects on them.

Yet, Aya decides to experiment with one more thing. A small scale usage of the Fifth Magic, used to shunt bits of the being's influence away to places and times where it will be completely irrelevant, this is done to grant openings for her attacks and those of her allies, moments in which its influence falls apart at points.

@Overlord775

The mushroom's slam easily penetrates the veil, although it offered no direct resistance. Instead, the frankly absurd levels of toxicity that followed it easily boiled away the nearby veil and it's underlying power. As should be expected, the seemingly normal cedar trees within instantly crumble into semi-liquid rancid mulch for tens of kilometers around. What is strange, however, is that they appear to be falling from above indefinitely, as though they extended upwards infinitely.

@Thing fight

The otherwise excessive monsoon of strikes and attacks against the thing all land with little direct issues. The invasive logic of Thorn, the biting nothingness of Repudiation, the Madness-enhanced fuckery; little goes aside. However, despite these continuous and seemingly unhealing wounds, the thing continues to thrash, but in a strange new way. This is immediately noticeable to Elfen, who is repeatedly tagged, if only barely, by the cleaver despite the manner of his movement. In spite of this new development, however, what few hits it does manage to land are addled by numerous afflictions, even if they are still dangerous.

A near simultaneous, but entirely coincidental, barrage of attacks against what was once the upper body of the thing has an unusual reaction. While the many conflicting and violent energies unleashed into the thing take their toll, what seems by all rights to be a crack in the very fabric of this world appears at the epicenter. From it, lashes of golden and green light erupt, followed swiftly by... something. It has no presence in the physical sense, being more wholly composed to intent and will, visible only to those with fully spiritual senses. Many bands of light encircle the appendage that yet still holds the cleaver during the thing's wild thrashing, while an appendage of this new, ephemeral make-up intercepts a Sword of Repudiation mid-swing. Normally, the blade would have no issue cutting something immaterial, but on contact, it instead crumbles like paper, shattering into innumerable pieces before the space around it appears to fold up and annihilate the remains.

As all this occurs, the thing's world finally expands to the point that it covers the current battlefield. Despite the consistent elevation between the two worlds, in the thing's universe there are still yet-ascending cedar trees and breathable air, not unlike how it is at ground-level.

"It seems it has un-died as per usual..."

The blazes around Dieman kick up again, as both blades lying in his hands start to burn white hot in the process

Eclipse

Dieman's assault becomes a blur, his blades moving at unfathomable speeds to clash against the cleaver and hopefully destroy it, or at least keep it busy while the others make a more direct attack at the Thing.

Sam looks around decide that she is tired of dealing with the veil and given the threat to the earth itself

CHARGE USED

B.O.B appears and Sam commands them to use the Emergency Sun Vent as she gives them all the buffs in her arsenal along with her clones.

Crashed head first, the mushroom jumps back up to their feet, looking around and determining their surroundings.

"Bleh, disgusting."

Is their comment, as they glaze towards the entity, which is now in a state of ... who cares.

This place needs a severe interior reworking and the mushking is just the right funji to do the job, for they will shift this place into unshape !

"CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa- cough cough"

The mushroom voice's cracks.

"... os."

[Charge Used + Chaos Shift Used, let's see this world burn]

Elfen conjures more 'stuff of dreams' and fuses it to the wounds it received.

"Something about it has changed again. And there's something new, made of intent and will. They're joined together now." Elfen informs the others.

Afterwards they continue protecting their temporary allies with barriers, healing and amplification of their power. As the Thing's world expanded, flowers started covering all of it. Flowers grown from Elfen's power, flowers that could overgrow and nullify even the Authority of Primordial Goddesses.

However, Elfen wasn't just giving their support from the sidelines. Another attack was coming towards the Thing, an attack that wouldn't affect anything other than the Thing. With Transcendental Power they modify their power to move things in only one direction through manipulation of space and time. With their analytical abilities Elfen would account for and adjust the attack to any changes in space-time made by the thing and whatever the new arrival appeared to be. Instead of one direction everything within a designated area would go into a single infinitesimally small point. Every meter, every planck distance brings one closer to the singularity. Every tick of time sends one hurtling into the abyss.
A large area around the Thing shines brightly for a moment. Then only darkness remains.

Using C-Moon once again to direct gravity, now at this crack of reality, alongside his manipulation of space, Mandricardo atempts to seal the crack in reality, with hundreds of arms sprouting off his back to shoot summoning beams, calling all the mestari he can toward the fight. In an atempt to see what else can work, he sends Killer Queen foward, planning to blow up the Thing and/or the other alien being seeping out of the crack in reality.

"...The time has come huh? This thing is a true threat. I shall do my everything!" Giju would say, as she buffed up. An aura appearing, it destroying various molecules. As Giju herself charged a sphere of destruction, her giant clones still trying to defend the others, to the best of their extent.

Upon release, Giju would fire multiple missiles embued with Chaos Energy, along with her sphere of sheer destruction. "Vanish!"

X focused all of his senses on "eradicating every last trace of the enemy", letting his body enter a sort of autopilot until the deed was done.

"Futility."

Is heard from the voice of the demonic being in response to the crack's formation and the destruction of the blade. The time has come.

The essence of demonic nature unleashes its power, releasing the true strength of its own world in response to this new manifestation, doing so to take what is hers, and claim this place for her own, destroying that which the spirit wields and supplanting it. Heaven's Floodgate accelerates its spread, while a new blade of similar nature, but now enhanced strength forms. [Charge used]

As this happens, the labors apply their countless weakenings, as well as unavoidable damage cast upon the foe. Axion Apocalypse is released in conjunction, a vast barrage of destructive beams of light that strip away at the enemy's power, all the while, Evangelist's Blade grows in strength, with her every attack now dealing damage of the kind to which her foe is most vulnerable.

@Overlord775

As the chaos shift washes over the mushking, he pops, like a water-filled balloon, spraying acid everywhere. However, at the same time Samhain rockets outwards. The nearby mulch undergoes a simultaneous rapid and acausal plant growth, with many strange plants suddenly appearing from nowhere or disappearing, all of which are summarily melted back down. The acid, still flying through the air, suddenly crystalizes, before flashing to caustic steam, before falling to the earth again as loose dirt, before exploding into more acid and repeating the cycle. Samhain continues to rocket upwards and outwards through this sealed universe, but progress upwards noticeably slows over time.

@Thing fight

Suddenly, a change washes over the battlefield not encompassed by Aya's domain. At first, nothing happens, but shortly thereafter the scorched and destroyed remnants of the thing's body violently explodes into acid.

Yet another incomparable barrage of attacks--a beam of pure solar destruction, an aura of annihilations, various forms of ontological warfare--blasts away the remnants of the thing's body, leaving the cleaver floating in the air, and converge on the crack in reality. At that moment, the crack widens, but everything that emerges is caught in the attack and destroyed. Those capable could feel the world around them groan at the strain, but not grow notably weaker. Furthermore, Matricardo's efforts begin to bear fruit, with the crack slowly, but visibly, closing.

However, this is not to say that the thing was defeated. While dismembered, it continues to attack everything within reach. Somehow, the carefully planned shots that X unleashes are redirected in strange ways, often not correlating with the location of the immaterial appendages, towards the group. Specifically, Matricardo and Aya. Furthermore, Aya's expanding world, while encroaching further towards the thing, eventually stalls to a complete stop but a hundred or so meters from the crack. Matricardo's efforts to close the crack are contested violently, often having the warped space converted into energy by the thing's aura, but it is not an unmanageable effort. In the case of others, attacks are notably less successful; the ontological nature of B.O.B.'s defenses render most attacks totally ineffective, and even the few that force past are nothing to worry about; X is simply too far away to be reasonably attacked with everything else going on; Dieman's physiology makes interaction with him difficult, even if his own efforts are not particularly effective themselves.
FOOLS
That is, at least, until Elfen's manipulation of local space-time takes effect. The space around the thing's immaterial body and the crack seems to fold onto itself, forming an infinitesimally thin white line. Strangely, the cleaver appears wholly unaffected by this, and sits in perfect stillness without moving.
YOUUSETHISWORLDAGAINSTMENOTKNOWINGITISMYFANGSMYCLAWSMYWORLDMYWORLDMYWORLDMYWORLDMYWORLDMYWORLDMINEMINEMINE
What happens next is eerily familiar to those who first encountered the thing in Nuuk. All of the manipulation of space-time, the violating of the normal laws of physics, the outright creation or destruction of energy; it is dealt in recompense. For a moment, there is a calm. An orb of impossible radiance forms around the compressed thing, still contained by the aftereffects of the prior spatial manipulation. This is not to last however, as but an instant later containment is broken, and the energy held is released in a single, massive burst. The moment the first wave of light hits anything still within the thing's world, all liquids held within are flash-boiled. Even the purely immaterial entities among the group can taste metal.
WORMS BURNINTHESUNANDBEGONE
If this blast is not contained, it is likely that an event only more violent than the occurrence at Nuuk would occur. While before this sort of retaliatory energy was easy to contain, given the power the group now holds, that is no longer the case, as even in the first infinitesimal moment it has already drastically warped the space of this world and the nearest portions of Aya's. Startlingly, from the bodies of all present burst similarly violent, if much, much smaller, flames, as though the processes of their own being were turned against them.

"... I do not think we'll all get out of this one. But I think it won't either."

Dieman's spirit swells in response to this dire situation, his DETERMINATION responding to what is necessary.

"We may not be able to contain it, but I believe... I can get it away from here. To go... so you can stay... I believe that is the reason I am."

Fourth dimensional hands grasp the collection of pure energy, attempting to compress it as hard as possible. Inevitably there's a great deal of difficulty, but Dieman focuses on reflecting some of it away from him, allowing a solid grasp to form.

"This day has felt like a true long boi... but goodbye."

Dieman starts flying away as far as possible, soaring miles and miles and miles, until the length of a solar system is put inbetween them and his allies.

"Now as for you...

Dieman manifests his full fourth dimensional suit of armor, crackling with energy and escalating as he prepares his next move.

"The story of we two ends here..."

The giant fist rears back, power soaring through it, before coming down with Dieman's final words, aiming to set off this explosion and force the cause at the center to be killed for good.

"A

RANKED

FUCKERY

MAXIUMUS"

"Dieman!"

Matricardo exclaims, having taken a heavy brunt of ontological damage redirected from X, as well as damage to his very existence from the Thing. He'll heal it later, maybe, but now is not the time.

"...damnit, I better pull my weight!"

Another Matricardo from an alternative universe arrives, using his Charge not to counter the damage caused by this burst, but to soak up as much damage as possible.

The main Matricardo, meanwhile, creates a magical spell of previously unprecendented scales. The sheer conceptual power contained within created Paradox, which he decided to absorb, nearly erasing his soul, but he lives for now.

He releases the spell in the form of a bolt, which bursts in contact with the explosion, altering the very laws of subatomic matter themselves into a "understandable" position, which should hopefully slow down the explosion considerably.

(Technically it is whenever enter you the area and I have a pocket dimension which sounds like strong combination as exiting a shop after you enter it works)

Elfen it taken aback by this development and quickly starts uniting worlds again. However, they're well aware that this catastrophe it outside of their ability to move between worlds. This is simply to buy themselves some time.

It seems my attack acted as a catalyst for this. I wonder if I could contain it... Dieman is a brave soul, rushing forward to an unknown fate. Since I got stuck in a dream, I've been hurt plenty of times, killed even. But was I ever really in danger? I'm quite sure I am now, even if there's two others of me... I see. Maybe this is my wake up call.

Elfen summons their own shadow and the one who was with Matricardo and approaches the blast. This is the time to act.

"You two will help me out. Now then. Noble Phantasm: Garden of Avalon!"

Charge used: Authority of Vainglory.

Time resumes again.

"I've actually enjoyed this world so far. So I'd like for it to keep existing." Elfen says to the others present, their voicing reaching them all loud and clear.

Garden of Avalon would greatly empower anyone who used mana as a source of power and Elfen's support spells are still active. As for the shadows, they would follow their master's lead.

As for Elfen themself, they start to lose all form and turn into a fraying shadowy mass with countless shadow hands moving towards the blast, separating parts of it with their pocket realities and the like to lessen Dieman's burden. Every time Elfen comes into contact with parts of the blast they try to stop or at least slow down its time in order buy more time. The ring of light forks into many differents paths that direct the blast and its effects towards Elfen, who also continuously casts spells to further redirect the energy. Treating the reality warping calamity as a mere physical phenomena through their own powers, Elfen starts absorbing as much of it as possible through the shadow hands, while constantly utilizing their charge to keep themselves from falling apart completely and to enforce the success of their actions. When they've succesfully absorbed part of it, they disperse it across higher dimensions. However, Elfen's intake was greater than their output.

I will not stop, even if this will be my end.

As the mushroom lays splatted on the ground, it's consciousness is still active and within it one rumbles.

"The funny stickman is sacrificing himself ? No.. no, that's not right, that's not right at all."

"I'm not going to let the idiot just throw his life way, he may be a conceptual mess beyond words, but he's our conceptual mess beyond words!"

The droplets coalesce and become one, activating a planeshift and transporting itself, all of itself, into a singular point in space, that being right on-top of Dieman's elbow.

"**** YOU, you are not dying today you mad ****** !"

The shout bursts from the dark orb as it floods outwards in a massive expansion. The surge of darkness to dome around the apocalyptic energy, to engulf it inside of itself. Darkness devours the light, blotting it out, erasing it and absorbing it, attempting to remove it from this existence.

Resisting the energy itself is an easy matter thanks to absolute invulnerability to explosions, but it's space ripping effect is much more bothersome, though the mushking can use spatial control to fix up his own body as it reeks up damage. Furthermore a reflecting barrier goes up each times damage is done, which helps gainst being overwhelmed.

Even if the damn thing has infinite energy, the power of chaos is infinite too and so is the mushroom's storage capacity!

Trying to protect the others, Giju and her duplicates put up Void Shields at MAXIMUM POWER, trying to nullify any possible damage, or atleast minimize possible damage towards her allies. Even if the world was possibly going to end... she was not going to let it crumble without trying to protect!

The main Giju herself tried to counter the space time explosion with combining her destruction energy with the following:
  • Black Holes
  • Chaos Energy, specifically its spatial properties
  • Space Time Manipulation

Preparing it all onto a big Diebuster beam, which she fires! As one of her clones tried to alter physics themselves so the explosion could be harmed, touched, and more especially... Sliced. Attempting to slash at it with various swords!

(I don't intend on giving this as like, the full conclusion since I don't know what Hl3 was cooking here, but I figured I may as well pull a hattrick to be the one to end all 3 Die series, and I did want to write something here, so...)

Much as with it's unprecedented scale, so was it's speed. By the time Dieman's resolve started strengthening, the blast already started the initial instants of expansion, a path of destruction halted just in the nick of time by the combined efforts of those there. Elfin's pocket dimensions start cracking the moment portions of it's energy are shoved in, but Matricardo's ultimate spell, the mushroom's dark orb, and the Diebuster blast merge together to lighten the load.

Lighten, but cracks form across it too. They can feel the overwhelming presence of anger within the cleaver and the consciousness that still remains behind the explosion as it slashes a hole in the containment, seeming to spell the imminent end...

Then Dieman begins to fly as his Charge activates. The explosion itself experiences the conceptual force against it's will. For as powerful as it was, Dieman mustered himself to dwarf it. even if for the final moments before demise. As the Fourth dimensional body soars several astronomical units in a lengthy microsecond, the thing that remains still screams. Even without language, a sentiment is communicated perfectly.

I WILL NEVER DIE

Even through Dieman's power, the cleaver started to churn again, swinging back upwards to redirect it's momentum and the blast itself into Dieman and all he wished to protect.

Dieman reached into the depths of himself and drew an Axe he was gifted for a forgotten purpose. It soon swelled to a proper stature, warping the world around it as it's form started to glow with all forms of energy. The physics warping abilities permeating Dieman's mal-existence, the power of his strongest sword skill, one of his lesser Noble Phantasms, and the human spirit imprinted upon him. With that, he gives his unshaking response to the thing.

"But it is time. I will go first."

"The Crimson Saint's ******* Final Burst."

---

---

Those left behind see a titanic release of power at the epicenter of the direction Dieman went. The darkness of space is suddenly awash in the light of Armageddon, as a beam is unleashed in the opposite direction of earth, slowly widening into an outright wave that consumes planet after planet and star after star. Left behind is a hole that could have represented what was left of earth and humanity, but it's hollowness stretches simply into the cosmos.

Analysis concludes that Dieman's own body met the impact head on, clashing with all the energy that would have stretched towards earth and flinging it back as hard as he could. No trace can be found.

One year later.

Starry eyes gaze into the cosmos, from a building rooftop floating in space.

The Omnis haven't done a game in a very long time. Conflict continues to be engineered to keep the cogs of the cosmos running, but a lot of it is more normal and pushed to self-sustenance. No pulling people from multiple universes into a single place... Well, except that one area Ichika's been around, but it's different. Otherwise it's just Dante passively spreading and their existence causing havoc, Puncher going the way of Coolguy and fully embracing themselves as an agent of heroism... Everyone's gone somewhere far, as they usually do when they have their own ambitions.

And of course, there's Nil. Former Godtuber wannabe, current Godtuber casual that uploads whatever he happens to put a camera on. A skirt that flows into a certified magical girl outfit, topped with a cute beret. Not befitting something male, but he grew into it. All the divine powers he used to have and more were at his fingertips every hour of the day, but his ambitions went for inverse proportion this go round. Telling a story that strikes everyone felt out of the cards when he spent so long trying to just create something alive, yet also larger than life.

He's had his successes a few times. Cultivated champions and airdropped them here and there. Success wasn't a consistency for sure, sometimes he overshot the dimensionality, sometimes he gave them two appendixes for an abrupt death, sometimes they were just crazy for no discernable reason and drove themselves into a ditch.

All the same, he's back here. Retconning a rooftop into space and looking at the universe where he once overthrew the demon of all demons at. Looked real boring now, but it was a backdrop for his thoughts. And eventually, they landed on something else from Nil's past.

The palm of their hand opens, where a ghostly statue manifests. An outline of a few sticks attached to a head still prevail, but it's not been brought into physicality or consciousness for a very long time. Their death was easy enough to Retcon, but bringing them to life again asked a few questions. Trying to fix it into something normal brought to mind the ship of thesus, especially with the happiness it had towards it's state of being and the good life it lived. And even if it came back to life, where would it be put? It might be able to exist in normal spaces, but just putting them somewhere random never felt right. What kind of place needed this hero anyways?

The depths of space didn't seem inclined to answer. All the same, Nil smiled and stepped into the personal pocket dimension he's still using for storage, approaching a shelf.

"I think you'll go further than any of us can know. Just need to find your place, someday."

Carefully, it's placed, and Nil exits.
