HELLSING - General Discussion

It's unbelievable how the only thing I dislike about Hellsing is that it's short.

I like absolutely everything about this manga. The only thing I have to complain about is that not only is the manga short, but the events, especially the fights, are also short.

I think Hellsing had the potential to be THE supernatural/vampire anime. Like, the greatest. (To be honest, it is, like, I can't think of any anime superior in this regard.)

For me, what Hellsing lacks is a bit of what the TV anime had. Something more episodic with Alucard and Seras solving supernatural problems. I think I'd like this mainly to further develop the manga's supernatural world and the Hellsing Agency's soldiers.

Then, when "Part 2" begins (entering the Millennium plot), the death of basically everyone in Hellsing would have an impact.

I don't think it would even need much, about 36 chapters (basically a 12-episode anime) would be enough.

I'mma say smth unrelated to Hellsing for a moment but I'm amazed how quick staff respond to your Star Wars Crts

like alot of the crts Ive seen get finished atleast in a day

It would have been interesting to see what goes on with regular vampires, other countries, and what the Hellsing soldiers generally do. Getting to know the soldiers would have made their deaths more impactful (kind of like the mercenaries later), and in turn I'd be interested to see regular vampires in action for more than a short scene, and interested to see what other countries do to deal with vampires. The Hellsing world has lots of implied stuff (vampire activity, USA attacked by Millennium, werewolves being a species and not just one Captain) and lots of stuff that logically would happen (other countries having their own measures against vampires), but none of it is shown. The world ends up feeling incomplete as a result.

It depends. Usually, when I create a CRT, I immediately submit it to the same staff members' wall. Lephyr, for example, likes Star Wars and was the one who successfully argued for the verse to have free access to CRTs with just two votes. So he's probably more interested in CRTs.

But also, it's not the verse as a whole. Basically, look at any SW CRT that isn't mine or predates mine. It either takes months to finish or never gets finished.

werewolves being a species and not just one Captain
In Hellsing the Dawn, didn't Alucard say that werewolves had become extinct?

damn, ngl I thought I need to wait some time after I make a crt before I message staff, glad to know that isn't the case.

wait nvm just reread it

since mtl isn't allowed should I just removed the Guidebook statements and replace them with Manga scans (if they have one)
Honestly, if I were you, I'd use it and speak in the CRT you're using, and then leave the kanji transcribed so anyone can check for themselves if they have questions.

Because honestly, if you're unlucky, it'll take a while for the translation staff to translate it.

You can also post all of this in that translation thread. But I think that thread is pretty useless considering that normal users are the ones translating, and anyone can use MTL to translate their stuff (as has happened before).

it's gonna be a while before I make a crt on these

since the ratings are based on the new scaling chains which needs to atleast get a crt

with the 9-Bs scaling to a feat made by someone who no longer scales to Alucard Physically, but still scales to him on the wiki.

not to mention this person (atleast they're weapon) scales to an Alucard who downscales from someone who also downscales to a much stronger Alucard who performed the feat they scale to

imma just go do Seras profile first instead of Integra since she's the first and also the reason I started doing the reworks..(which I'm now thinking of including Walter in)

which means... I'm planning on reworking 10 of the 13 Hellsing profiles

with Alhambra and Rip being spared cuz I remember robo saying he's planning on reworking em

im just waiting for the High 8-C thread to be applied

which is going to take 200 light years
idk man, you can still do a rework on a sandbox while you wait, liek look at me I'm reworking on some of the profiles while I wait (okay "some" may be an understatement)

Seras should probably get berserk mode because she had that blood rage against those ghouls
She doesn't seem to have it as a true Vampire though. It's kind of a weakness as much as a strength, and it seemed like she was just tapping more into her vampiric instincts which she couldn't control.

I knew I was missing smth.
anyways I kinda think it's more of Bloodlust
You put superhuman physical characteristics twice

For Incomplete vampire, we're missing
Weapon Mastery
Explosion Manipulation – Wields the Harkonnen, a massive anti-Midian cannon capable of firing explosive rounds powerful enough to obliterate tanks.
Statistics Amplification and Healing: By consuming blood, Seras gains a boost in power and recovers from injuries, becoming stronger while healing her wounds.
Telepathy - Communicates with Alucard through telepathy

Some wording fixes
Upon activating her Third Eye, Seras was able to resist and overcome the illusions cast by Zorin.

added changes

also im pretty sure thats fear manipulation, not social influencing
idk man, this happened after Seras drank pip and immediately and easily killed one of the Vampires

like imagine seeing the bleeding Vampire lady that was beaten by a first lieutenant, suddenly Heals their eyes, their sliced off arm becomes a shadowy flexible thing and then immediately went and killed one of your fellow soldiers while being pissed off

It's so funny how Kouta Hirano is the stereotypical fat, perverted Japanese otaku. The guy is lazy, has sex dolls, wrote a song about breasts in one of the Hellsing volumes, apparently has no wife or children, and yet he's so good at making manga?

Integra is a good female character, and Seras, despite her echi, is also a great character. His style and designs are incredible (Alucard is probably the best vampire design there is, and look, my favorite work is the Castlevania games), and he knows comics better than many current manga artists.

You know when there are physical volumes and the double-page spreads are cut in half and look awful? When Kouta Hirano drew, he already did it with that in mind.
