Is this verse acceptable?

This verse is an "eroge" but is more story based than anything.

The scenes are completely optional because you have an option to turn them off at the beginning of the game.

The verse is not focused on sexual content or else you wouldn't even have an option to turn off the scenes.
 
Considering how sex and even rape are still integral to the narrative, to the degree that some endings are locked if you refuse to activate them.

I'd say no.

Ehh. There's an option to avoid the scenes and Redo of Healer already has stuff such as rape as a basically unavoidable part of the series.

There are certain bad end routes that would require you do certain acts but the viewing of those certain scenes are basically optional. It's not really meant to glorify the acts too and the game makes sure to make you feel bad about it.
 
Basically my main points are. More story centric than H based. Has an option to turn off those scenes which supports the previous claim.

In essence, the scenes in question have been integrated into the storyline. The inquiry that arises pertains to the significance of toggling, given that these scenes remain within the bounds of the canon.

May I confirm that there exists no substantiating evidence or canonical data from said sequences?

The scenes have nothing required for indexing or for understanding the plot.

Okay I am inclined to say no, given the plot of the game as a whole. While I do think it is fundamentally different from MGQ, the line between them is both very thin and very hard to explain in a way I don't think our current rules care about.

That being said, a side of me wants them added anyways just because I really like the games.

Edit: Though there's a fair point that we have shit like Redo of Healer on the wiki, and I am inclined to say Black Souls is more like that than MGQ was (as the difference between the two was why MGQ was not allowed, while Redo was).

To elaborate for the uninformed, Black Souls has a lot of pornographic content, but it is more secondary to the actual plot of the world and the ideas going on. It is not literally a game about killing and ******* monster girls, akin to MGQ, but rather a world where those sorts of things just... happen. That's the best way I can put it. In my eyes, that does make it closer to Redo.

Then again I don't really care to make another huge debate over what level of **** we allow and what we don't.

Honestly I think it fits into level 3 category due to it being more story based and there being an option to disable the scenes which can exemplify that. If not I'll probably have more luck with Demons Roots since it has a PG13 steam release.
 
I think, based on the existence of games like Tsukihime that have eroge content within them without being the focus, and verses like Redo that are... yeah, Black Souls is probably fine. I don't really care that much, though.

Aie, definitely has a lot of edgy content and explicit scenes but they are completely secondary to the plot (to the point that they can both be disabled, and that you can play the game relatively smoothly without encountering much of anything even if you didn't disable it) and simply serve some semblance of worldbuilding and additional content. I could explain in more detail but it's pretty hard to explain why we ruled MGQ was not allowed while Redo and other eroges were, point is that the lewd definitely feels secondary and incidental rather than the driving point of the game.

Yea, something like MGQ has plot as a main element but also has the other content as a main element and is a lot more fetish based. The line gets quite weird.

Unfortunately, isn't like, one of the endings locked behind H-scenes? Though, I guess you could make an argument to add it to the site, at least I think it's better than MGQ where the literal premise is girls trying to suck you off.

Would be cool af to add them to the wiki. Would like Shrift too since that verse has some wonky shit but its closer to MGQ more than Black Souls.

This was addressed with them being optional as the scenes themselves can be turned off and not significant to the overall plot of the game or the main point.


Shrift is a NO sadly.
 
If that's the case, then I'm honestly all in for adding it. As said previously, it really isn't comparable to MGQ, and should be fine to add as the H-Scenes isn't the main plot point.

That ending's 'H-Scene' really... isn't much of one. It's more like something you'd see in Berserk, and while explicit, is not really titillating in the slightest for reasons that make sense for people who have gone through it. It's also only one ending.

Eldritch horrors peering into your soul
 
Ahhh Black Souls, it's a very cool game. The H scenes of the first game are straight-up bad and non-arousing so I just played the game for the story. It has an interesting story. Sadly I forgot most of it. There is a chance the verse gets decently high because at the end of one of the endings of BS1, one of the characters reality warps/destroys the world or something like that. I will definitely keep an eye on this verse if it ever gets added to this wiki cuz it's a cool and underrated story.
