Considering this is early Luffy the experience would be a bit on Gentle's side despite his inefficiency saving people. He can still fight after all. On the other hand it might be hard for either to permanently harm the other due to the nature of their abilities. But I feel like Gentle can pull off a win here more easily since he won't be as easily tired and Lover Mode is pretty deadly.

Gentle Criminal wins due to barriers and reflection

Luffy's elasticity prevents blunt force attacks (which Gentle relies HEAVILY on) from dealing sufficient damage to him. All Gentle has at his disposal is the use of trickery against Luffy and superior versatility. His attacks would not deal more than superficial damage, and Luffy will adapt to his fighting style rather quickly. An opponent relying on attacks that are elastic will not be effective against someone with an elastic body.

Lover Mode lasts for mere moments, and Luffy can take his attacks. the moment Lover Mode goes away, it's basically a stomp for Luffy.

Luffy stomps via mismatch and stat difference (Luffy and Zoro scale to a character with a LBL+ feat from merely stomping the ground).

Gentle Criminal relies too much on brute force which Luffy has a huge resistance to. Luffy wins this.

In my defense when I made the matchup his profile said he was Supersonic and Large building level in lover, as opposed to transonic and at least building level. guess I caught him before his stats could be fixed.

How is Luffy going to bypass reflection and barrier creation?

Gentle's barriers are not even complex or insurmountable. Midoriya easily read through them and attacked from different angles and that's Luffy's specialty given his rubber physique and fighting style. He's adaptive and very creative... not to mention he basically one-shots due to stat difference anyways.
