Spyro the Dragon shouldn't scale to Crash Bandicoot.

Self-explanatory title. Spyro the Dragon is currently scaled to the exact same tier as Crash Bandicoot because they have had one crossover game together in the past. The one for GBA.

This is incorrect, honestly, because despite Crash and Spyro being IPs that are owned by the same publisher and therefore they have had crossovers and references in the past, the two stories are not canon to each other.

Crash and Spyro are characters from two completely different worlds. Crash is set on Earth in vaguely-modern times while Spyro is set in a fantasy world known as the "Dragon Realms". The Crossover doesn't even acknowledge this, Cortex and Ripto just start the game already knowing each other and plotting to take down their enemies together. And the crossover treats both series as taking place on the same planet. Assuming that this crossever is canon and thus valid for scaling contradicts the establish universes of both series simultaneously.

It's not canon, it's just a crossover.

Therefore Spyro needs to be rescale to feats from his own games.

Is the game with him and Cynder canon? As far as I remember, you defeat a big monster the size of a building in it.

Here, also this exists, Crash has appeared in Sypro games
A small cameo in the form of a balloon float isn't evidence that the crossover is canon, specially since it never even happened in the Crash 4 timeline. Only the first 3 games did.

Spyro appearing as an unlockable / DLC racer in Kart games has no bearing on actual cameo, he's just a secret character and that's it.

The thing is that Dimension Travel has been shown to appear in both franchise and it has been shown in Wrath of Cortex and It's About Time that there are multiple timelines and timeline travel (as you could call it) is also possible

No, the Crossover acts like both series are on the same planet.

You must be joking Matthew as Outversal Crash is now a legit possibility due to Crash 4. Cortex just said they were going to take over Earth. Tell me Matthew, when does the game state magic flying islands are on Earth?

Neo Cortex and N. Tropy are back at it again and launching an all-out assault on not just this universe, but the entire multiverse! Crash and Coco are here to save the day by reuniting the four quantum masks and bending the rules of reality.
Yeah, so what.

Cortex wants to conquer the multiverse, he says it as much. N. Tropy thinks Cortex is dumb, betrays him, and instead wants to reset the timeline. You clearly didn't play the game.
