The moment miyamoto gives story/lore a look he decides to start with butchering rosalinas lore.
 
I'm not surprised in regards to rosalina. I remember an interview where Koizumi and Miyamoto had a chat in regards to the games themes and story.

Miyamoto compared it to "Parents having a long talk once the children have moved out."
 
The funny thing is that even assuming they do go through with this, and assuming they do it exactly like the movie did it, they're not even going to retcon anything about Rosalina's backstory lol, they're gonna have that plus the additions from the Galaxy 2 switch version remain completely intact with no changes, while also having the movie origin with peach be canon without any regard for how they'd conflict with each other. Same company that has Mario and DK being the same age but also has Mario being older than DK's father.

I had recently watched the Galaxy movie and letting the content sink into my mind for a bit.

I think the complaint "It's not a super Mario Galaxy movie" is valid but looking at the movie and the advertisement, it was only Galaxy by name from the very beginning.

I went into this movie not expecting a Galaxy movie but expecting more of a celebration for the last 40 decades of Mario. Doing that, I think that's what allowed me to thoroughly enjoy this movie a lot. It wasn't just Galaxy, it was SMB2, Super Mario world, Yoshi's island, Sunshine, Galaxy, Odyssey and Wonder.

It makes sense since no new Mario game was revealed this year... Or at least not yet.

I recommend watching the movie not as a galaxy movie but more like a celebration Movie of the entire franchise. After all, Everything Mario exist in the Galaxy.
 
Also, on a sidenote, I think Miyamoto's interview in regards to peach's backstory shows how continuity is viewed in regards to Mario. Sorta Episodic like American dad or SpongeBob where the canon depends on the focus of the episode. Essentially, the canons interchangeable depending on the plot.

Not exactly, more so curious on how power star users can have MGR negation, since power star Mario, Luigi, and toad (blue and the yellow one) can permanently kill boos in NSMBU

Besides the fact boos don't have mid godly right now, power stars and super stars/starmen are different, why do you think it is permanent.
 
Yeah most of the portrait ghosts are dead people, there's a few exceptions for example like Chauncy who was conceived and born when his parents were already ghosts (No idea how that works) and Bogmire who's created from the fear and despair of the mansion itself.
 
Anyway boo's low high regen comes from the line about ghosts not dying are we certain it's not just type 2 Immortality or something?
