Feels like that's kinda oversimplifying the characters tbh. Yeah, Altair wants genocide, but she does legitimately care for Setsuna, and her hatred of everything else stems from the idea that the world wrongfully rejected her and is responsible for her suicide. She's not at all like Dreadpool, who's just "gotta kill everyone because I'm just a little quirky‼️". With Yukari, they contrast in their actions, but the reasons for why they do the things they do remain more or less the same, on top of other miscellaneous connections that Dreadpool lacks (close relationship with a human girl who killed herself, highly manipulative, Trains™️, etc).

I really like the borderline horror aspect of being forced to kill someone you see yourself in; Not just a reflection of who you are now, but who you used to be, and who you could have become. Forced reconciliation with the idea that, in another time, they could've become the very thing they despise, is something that works very well with two emotionally fragile characters.

This isn't to say I dislike Altair vs Dreadpool btw, it's my preferred alt for Altair at least. I'd just prefer something more character-driven (and without another comic herald, god knows we have too many of those).

I mean most characters vary between street level to somewhere around city level in terms of AP and relativistic to MFTL (part 2 onwards) in terms of speed, depending on who you ask plus that's not mentioning the absolute crapshoot of verse equalization with JJBA hax.
 
I guarantee if the tier was still "High 2-A", less effort (though still a considerable amount, in fairness) would be put into upgrading these 5-D verses lol.

The glamour of Tier 1 shines bright...

Fair enough, I just prefer more "superficial" connections. I think the whole "Being a fictional character that turned real and started genociding fictional & real people" is more important to Altair's character than her connections to Yukari.

"Altair turned real and plans to kill real and fictional characters" is Altair's character. Everything else is just her motivations and backstory for why she plans to kill everyone.
If you changed Altair's motivations and backstory she would still be recognizable, that is why I focus more on her "superficial" parts.

Also, correct me if I am wrong but I don't think Yukari started killing people (like Altair) after Yuyuko killed herself. That weakens that connection in my eyes.

Indeed, tho I do understand the frustrations of those who prefer DBs volume scaling. It can be hard to believe character A, whose millions times universal and is considered a major threat to the multiverse losing to Character B (via AP) whose baseline universal but because that "baseline" universe is a 5D construct (even tho Character B comes from a verse where there isn't even a multiverse unlike Character A).

I compared them on the basis of the why behind their actions, not the how. They're both entities that feel trapped by the yoke of human imagination, one choosing a path of violence, and the other a path of isolation.

I also don't like boiling Altair down to just "genocide lol", she does legitimately desire freedom and very clearly loves Setsuna. She is not devoid of empathy or emotion like some kind of killing machine; She still has the capacity to care, though would never admit that. This pairs nicely with Yukari's own tendency to hide her true feelings, putting on a mask of power and mystery when that isn't who she truly is. At their cores, beyond the facade they show the world, Yukari and Altair are nearly identical, and it would make for a fascinating fight where they're slowly broken down emotionally by their opponent's manipulation whilst simultaneously understanding each other on a deeper level, maybe even culminating in Yukari attempting to stop the fight entirely by inviting Altair to Gensokyo.

Fair enough about superficial connections though. They can feel pretty hit or miss to me, personally.

i haven't done it but i'll go over Gohan Lesser Alts given how i liked Zero and Koga

Thoughts: As i said before Invincible just offers nothing interesting to play off Gohan, its basically Bardock vs Omni-man with nothing interesting about it.

The only thing that carries it is the banter which really wouldn't be anything special outside Mark making fun of the Great Saiyaman suit
beyond it its just lame. Invincible is just a boring brick of a fighter and unlike Nolan he doesn't have some flare or Charisma to compensate outside getting his ass beat.
what makes it even more annoying is how Folks try to salvage it by nerfing Gohan to his Cell Saga Self or have Gohan be reduce to the Great Saiyaman persona for the sake of "Fairness"

Which is dumb for variety of reasons.
1.Teen Gohan doesn't do anything different then his Current self-outside being weaker
2. You Bring a Character at the peak of there power not when there vastly weaker.
3.It makes for a weak analysis, why focus on a specific time period of them? its like bringing in Sonic but only Adventure Era and not current one
4.Gohan Still stomp lol ssj2 gohan is Solar System level and is quadrillion x FTL via Base Goku speed feat from the anime
5.Great Saiyaman still gohan its not some Alternate version and the moment he stop holding back he merks Mark

Overall if you have to try and nerf a character to make up for a MU then maybe you shouldn't do the MU?

Sons of previous alien heroes Both were trained by an associate of their dad (Ultraman Leo and Piccolo) While both series have tons of villians both characters are mostly associated with one( Belial and Perfect Cell) Both villians came back (somewhat) in the form of kaiju forms They both have tons of forms where one is associated with their instincts (Gohan Beast and Wild Burst) One of Ultraman Zero's hosts have a similar family life to gohan where they are part of a nuclear family consisting of them with a wife and a daughter Both are skilled in martial arts and have beam attacks
