No idea, he knew it was All Might and AFO before he started Recording. Gentle knew it was AM (he might have heard from others tho) and people like Bakugo just gaining super sight for no reason when that has only been exclusive to people with Quirks. It just seems weird.

The students have phones. They can just zoom in. There's Samsung phones today that can zoom in hundreds of meters and see into people's houses let alone futuristic phones.

Also honestly, AFO/All Might are not that far away from UA right now since AFO has been gradually getting closer to UA.

Just looking at the panels with Deku/Shiggy, UA, and AFO/All Might, the distance isn't really that far. Even for ordinary humans we can see planes that are high up in the air. A person that's far away looks like a dot but in a way you can still see them.

I feel if someone wants to give a character enhanced senses off this scene, it would be AFO for hearing what Gentle said from so far away.

Otherwise for Deku, a better moment that shows his enhanced sight is the Nagant battle.

Everyone else is probably seeing each other as stickman sized.

When the students first looked up, before he even starts recording them, he spotted them and knew they were there.

I don’t disagree, but the distance is well over 100 meters. I haven’t did the calc yet but based off the scan it looks to be over a kilometer.

He flew a certain distance and just stopped and began to levitate.

I disagree tbh, UA nearly fills up the entire panel in the shot with Bakugo standing on it, and they appear as a dot in those scans. And AFO is shown even further away from UA than Deku and Shigi are, by a long shot. Planes much bigger than humans and at the distance they are, there’s honestly no way the student could spot AFO holding AM from that far away, especially while he’s busy recording Deku fighting Shigi. It’s just not possible.

My issue is just using these scenes to say someone like Bakugo has super sight (that was the initial post I responded to) because people who shouldn’t be capable of spotting someone like AFO could spot him. Gentle also spots AFO before anyone informs him of it which further makes this weird.

Just realized something, when Shigaraki evolves, his explosion visibly harms Star and disperses the clouds beneath them. That’s not the reason this is impressive though, the American jets withstood this blast with no damage, they didn’t even have their shields deployed.

Yet in the leaks AFO, without the use of any quirks, blitz all the ships and ripped them apart while their shields were up. Good feat imo.

Also someone summon Therefir I have an issue with his Tiamat calc
 
Resistance to Pain Manipulation means you feel less pain than a normal person should.

Withstanding pain is not resistance, just like how withstanding fire doesn't mean you have flame resistance.

You're still feeling the same amount pain or you're still getting burn by the same amount, you just have the willpower to resist it.

Spot on.
 
Assuming it goes beyond the limits of a normal human. You'll be surprised how many people can withstand pain in reality.

Adrenaline is one hell of a drug, it can keep normal people up going for far longer than you'd actually expect.

Some people can lose some body parts (Finger or Ear) or get shot without realizing it until the adrenaline wears off.
 
It's curious that every possible successor to Afo ends up looking like his brother,
In some communities where I was, people expected Afo Chico to look like Deku as confirmation of the theory.
 
Should it be noted that Dark Shadow Baldr doesn’t have a weakness to light anymore? AFO used a massive explosion on it when it was pinning him down, and it didn’t lose any of its size

There's still a weakness to light, it's just that Dark Shadow was big enough that it wasn't too badly affected. Dark Shadow still requires cover and darkness from the other heroes to maintain its strength.
 
You know, one thing I like about villains is that I feel like breaking their faces. I'm re-enacting Endeavor's fights.
Give me a rusty machete and an injection of adrenaline and without problems I will go against the afo, I would not promise to win but without giving a show.

New chapter is out. Maybe I'm overthinking this but seems that AFO read Jujutsu Kaisen and wants to pay homage to his best buddy Sukuna.
