Denji was excited the moment he met Power because she's a woman. He thought she was crazy yet still wanted to touch her chest and immediately accepted a favour from her for it even though they just met that same day.

His intelligence in combat doesn't negate or justify the fact that it's very rare for it to happen—not impossible, but highly improbable, depending on the person. I'd say it would have to be under very desperate circumstances for it to occur.

Aside from Denji's weakness for women, doesn't Ellen have any other chance in combat? I don't know if freezing him would be a good way to keep him at bay, considering his regeneration.

i would imagine ellen could just freeze any of denji's blood that spills to prevent him from using it to heal himself/regenerate. vital view would also be helping her dodge a majority of his attacks, so he'd have to work harder to land a good hit on her, and wouldn't be able to consistently use her blood to heal himself. also, if she picks up on the fact that he's healing himself via blood, she could probably just also freeze her own spilled blood to stop him from doing that

What he is saying does not have anything to do with who Makima liked or whether she reciprocated Denji or not. It was about the fact that Denji is willing to attack women in battle even though it displeases him. He will still push through as usual but with a shade of shame and displeasure.

Denji has also shown to be able to regenerate from wounds such as decapitation and bisection as well as scale to the regeneration of his fellow Hybrids, who've survived being reduced to just a head, by pulling his chainsaw cord. This also seems to bring him back into peak shape but is entirely dependent on how much blood he has in his body)

For me it depends on how good her ice powers are. Denji has zero resistance to it, so if she can just wave her hands or blow in his general direction and AOE flash freeze him then it's low diff. If it's manageable then i'd say he takes it since he could also do a chain grab/hold to avoid Vital View and close in + his attacks are extremely lethal to people on the same level as him.

(Would be cool if the fight location had some oil barrels nearby so he could pull off what he did against Santa Claus to protect himself from her ice)

all agents in ZZZ inflict their status effects through accumulated damage. basically, hit an opponent enough, and they just instantly get frozen solid. regeneration doesn't negate this or slow it down, as ice agents including ellen are also able to freeze ethereals, a majority of whom also have regen. granted, most ethereal's regen isn't as strong as denji's but as long as ellen's consistently attacking she'd be able to accumulate enough damage to just freeze him instantaneously. her w-engine has also been stated to be able to instantaneously freeze nearby objects, so she'd also be able to utilize that if needed

she's a close quarters fighter who fights using her giant shears. her animations do a pretty good job of showcasing her fighting style, so if you want an idea of how she fights, i would just watch this video that showcases her attack animations.

in general though ellen is a very aggressive fighter who has no qualms fighting up close and personal, so i think she should be able to handle denji fine. she also has vital view to help dodge lethal attacks, so denji wouldn't just be shredding her to pieces immediately and would have to work harder to get some good hits in

I've looked at her moves and none really seem like they're gonna trap Denji in ice fully. Most I see is he gets his arm or leg stuck and just shreds it with the chainsaw. He'll lose blood fast from this though and from what I remember, this early on, even being sliced in the neck will be an issue. I am likely misremembering in this key, but when did he regenerate without pulling the cord? Assuming her ice manip is actual flash freezing, wouldn't this cause Denji some serious wounds even if he could break out?

So it's like a status effect where she can temporarily freeze an opponent for a set period of time before it wears off. Denji would get caught in a few of those, but since they act as a momentary stun I wouldn't say it's really detrimental, It's just a nuisance.

Now that I'm seeing her with that big ass blade, there's no doubt it would cut through Denji's skin, but her fighting style as you described is the exact reason she loses. Getting up close and personal with Denji is a terrible idea because at an extended melee range he can deal insane amounts of damage while having crazy endurance that lets him keep fighting even when he's seriously injured or in pain. Devils he fights usually use attacks or tactics that keep him away at all costs. Dodging will be a challenge for Elen because she's also fighting someone who is agile up close and chaotic with more advantageous weapons and a healing factor.

The best I can see her doing is flash freezing Denji a few times and hoping to get some damage in, but I don't see her doing it enough before he reels her in and blends her up like with the Bat Devil for example. I'll keep my vote with Denji.

She gets massively outstamina'ed + Supernatural willpower which makes this worse by a colossal margin

Denji is immortal, even knocking him out is nigh impossible because of his feat with eternal devil

According to her profile, her weakness further makes this even worse due to her fighting style
