What I mean is:

The request to make Bowsette canon is the trigger for the official Nintendo to shut down all fanarts of Bowsette.

As long as the official Nintendo acts dumb and ignores things, the peeps can be free to draw as many fan arts as possible. But once Bowsette becomes canon, Nintendo will have an excuse to banish all fan arts.
