What do you mean there is no debate??? Papyrus is a better opponent for Cirno than Jack Frost. And I am also not sure if Cirno vs Jack Frost is the most popular Touhou match up, I've heard of other matchups like Flandre vs Marx, Yukari vs Giratina and etc way more than that one.

- Marisa Kirisame vs Yuffie Kisaragi
- Remilia Scarlet vs Rachel Alucard
- Sakuya Izayoi vs Homura Akemi or Hit (sadly for some)
Alice Margatroid vs Karl Clover is still a fresh idea and god curse the day Alice Margatroid vs Sasori (Naruto) is being mentioned.
I personally want Reimu Hakurei vs Sakura Kinomoto but Reimu vs Sailor Mars (Manga) is more likely.
Some more personal ideas may include Kirby vs Yuuma Toutetsu or Reisen Udongein Inaba vs Black Rabbit (Mondaiji)

Connections relys on mismatching both continuities to get something between the two and barely focus on Hyoga as a character so even with that it's hardly anything to write home about and animation potential dubious nothing from what I've seen from say's he's vastly better than Sakuya
As far Dragon ball vs Saint Seiya Mu goes it pretty damn weak especially when Goku vs Seiya,Hades vs Zamasu and Gohan vs Koga exist

I think it'd probably come down to their physical stats specifically speed, as their weaponry is way more powerful than themselves, Goblin is spider-man speed and physically comparable to spider-man if not slightly higher and has a decent healing factor

Ok, how is Sakuya vs Hit focusing on both Sakuya and Hit as characters lmao? I am not saying these are the best connections of all time but at least it doesn't just rely only on the characters' powers
I still think Hit's fighting style meshes better with Hyoga than Sakuya

I don't like Hit vs Sakuya but it's one of those matches where I felt less strongly about it as time went on. I don't really care if it happens anymore, the most value it can give me is Touhou on DB and the nuclear fallout of a Hit L, and that's honestly good enough.
