Sanji fans doing fake leaks and memes on Zoro had me rolling.
Stuff like "fastest man of today vs fastest man in history" or Sanji supposedly fighting 1 vs 2 against two main antagonists lmfao.

Meanwhile the Dragonball community is boring. When i read the leaks all I saw was Vegeta fans crying like babies because of the ending title "Strongest father and son" as well as toxic Goku fans threatening to quit the manga because of Gohan being too strong lol

Like I don't understand these people. Half the time they complain that everyone is sidelined except for Goku and if Gohan, Trunks, A17, Piccolo catch up, they hate it. Calling it bad writing because Goku trained much more but they ignore the fact that by Saiyan standards Goku is actually pretty bad in terms of raw talent. Even by low class warrior standards.

Meanwhile Gohan Trunks, A17 and Piccolo were born strong from the beginning so it makes sense for them to be this strong with far less training.
Same goes for Caulifla, Cabba and co. Frieza killed the saiyans because they were getting too strong in a short time.
U6 saiyans are the result what happens when you give them 50 years of growth. And unlike U7 Saiyans, U6 saiyans completed their task with their base form without the need of Great Ape... So the average U6 saiyan from 50 years ago is probably 10x the strength of U7....

Exactly, I love Gohan saga Cell he had a very important role in this saga, but in the Buu saga Akira left him without training and becoming a weakling, but Gohan is now becoming a great man and i can see it.

The only thing I hate about Gohan is the fact that he became an insect researcher like come on....make him a doctor at the very least. Have him combine his book smart with his fighting or stuff like that.
How cares about insects... He should be glad that Hercule is his father in law because no way he will earn even a single dollar with crap like that lmfao.

I didn't really like it either, Gohan often left something to be desired, although he is now becoming as big as Goku ( but I prefer Goten who is literally a version of Goku Kid ssj1 )

Could you imagine how insane the agendas would be Dragon Ball was a more recent shonen? Vegeta already gets dunked on a lot, his fans would not survive with One Piece level agendas and memes he would get slandered worse than Fraudhawk does. Alternate universe where Vegeta turning Super Saiyan for the first time getting memed on with jokes about how he had actually just bleached his hair.

My problem with Gohan becoming Goku's level is that there is no reason for him to be.
He was a good character, and the anime showed that it was not necessary to be a top tier of the verse again to have things to do with him.
Superhero decides to take all of Gohan's development in Super (mostly the anime, because Gohan is treated horribly in the manga, prior to the Moro saga) and throw it in the trash to restart it again.
Let's talk about the Anime version:
He began to have a normal life, with his wife and daughter, stopping training, and... them Freeza gave him a beating in the resurrection of F, both emotionally and physically:
  • He could barely use the Super Sayayin, he didn't even have his Gi.
  • At the moment of finally doing something, he is suddenly tortured by Frieza (because he momentarily acted as his father, activating Frieza's trauma).
  • Almost dying, he only survives because Piccolo sacrificed himself for him again, making it clear to what extent Gohan had fallen.
  • He was left out of combat by taking out more Ki than that of Supersayayin 1, that is, in the end it was not even Frieza who defeated him, but himself, to be able to bring Goku and Vegeta
  • The earth is destroyed, losing his own family for whom he stopped training to have a normal life, only being saved by going back in time,
All of this ended in Gohan deciding to train again to protect those he loved, realizing that he cannot put aside his warrior side, a conviction that increases in the Future Trunks saga, upon finding out what Trunks was going through, and feeling guilty. Because he did not realize that,when Trunks visited him.
He trained more seriously, and when he finally said goodbye to Trunks, Trunks saw his teacher (future Gohan) reflect in him, despite previously having thought that he was the complete opposite of Gohan. (Also, Trunks previously understanding what half of the DB fandom cannot, and that is that Gohan not being like his version of the future was fine, since the Gohan of the future is the consequence of losing his loved ones and his dreams)
Finally for the tournament of power, with a threat to destroy his entire universe, Piccolo makes clear to Gohan his mistakes as a fighter of becoming arrogant when he has the advantage, and Gohan ends up becoming the best version of himself, and still aiming higher, thinking in finding his own path, as a human instead of a sayayin, earning his father's respect as a warrior, and ending up being the leader of his universe team, being the most intelligent of them.
On top of that, the anime makes it clear that having your own life outside of fighting is fine, and shows us that although Goku doesn't understand it, he respects his life decisions and his work (understanding when Gohan couldn't go to the universe 7 vs universe tournament 6, making it clear to him that his things came first, before the fights).

What does Superhero do?
  • Gohan has stopped training again, with the excuse that Goku and Vegeta will take care of everything in the end (Destroying all of Gohan's development in Super)
  • He becomes a bad father, focusing on his research, not taking time for his daughter, not even going to see her at school, to the point that his daughter doubts that she is loved by him (since we are, I imagine that he is not taking time for his wife either) Ignoring the bases of Gohan's character in Super
  • The entire movie treats the fact that Gohan works poorly, as if it were still a mistake.
  • Piccolo's plan is to appeal to Gohan's fury to return him to his final state, even though a large part of Gohan's development in Z was learning to control his emotions,
  • The beast Gohan makes no sense, and the Gohan who aimed to evolve as a human ends up having a transformation that is basically the super sayayin but stronger and with another name (Destroying all the potential of Gohan's character for the future)

The biggest mistake of the Superhero movie is Gohan, I think the movie itself leaves the theme that he does not pay attention to his daughter in a, "he has shown her that he does love her by saving her" something that the manga at least dedicates to him a vignette saying "maybe I should pay a little more attention to my daughter" (the manga version of the movie is undoubtedly better than the movie itself, but that's not saying much)

FYI you don't earn money by being a biologist. It's a degree/qualification that you earn/become after studying. You earn money by specialising in certain fields and providing the science community with research and get investors for your project. Depending on the topic/field the community and amount of investors is different.

Even normal researcher involved with cancer biology get paid badly. Now imagine if you research topic are insects..... It's basically just a hobby that he is getting paid for. Him being a doctor would have made more sense with his whole pacifistic nature, especially if you consider the fact that he refused to particpate in important fights due to some conferences involved with his job.

Goku might have neglected Gohan Goten for his own training but the whole universe benefitted from it. Pan is getting neglected for insect research.... and it's only a small amount of people who actually benefit from his research ...

I think the problem is similar to the comics where character development gets effectively retconned due to having too many writers with their own interpretation of Goku/Vegeta/Gohan.

Toei Anime writers/ Toyotaro have kept their respective Gohan consistent within their own show.

While Toriyama is like : Yah I don't give a f*ck. I will write whatever I want . You guys have to deal with it.

I feel like Toriyama should go back to a consulting role and share dragonball lore and ideas and let Toyotaro adapt it all in his own way.
Toei should then take Toyotaro's stuff as a base , improve his flaws and make their anime. This way we would have none of these problems.

Yeah I can definitely understand where you're coming from. I love dragon ball but it just hurts to see the character progression of many of the characters be swatted away so casually and there's quite a lot I would change about dbs.

Although I'm pretty sure Superhero was at first going to focus on Piccolo hence the flanderization of Gohan for the most part.

I don't see the issue Gohan back in the game in power you can blame the execution that led to it but I wasn't gonna be satisfied over my boy just being ssjb tier that would've gotten old already

I said I didn't like Naruto that much as a series and people kept crying about how it was my pfp so I changed it to a character I like more. I have considered changing it back tho.

The reasons are:

1- He is more skilled

2- He have that Megazord form

3- He is the main character and i like him more
