Ok, this actually looks good for Spidey in this single shot, can we now PLEASE wait for the ACTUAL movie to be released so we can judge the ENTIRE sequence in the film instead of making assumptions based on a scene of a few seconds without context?

(I pre-shot the argument, YES, we see here Spidey holding and bringing Hulk down with his webs but A) it's very brief and we don't know happens right after that, B) it could just be momentum like when Batman throws Superman away with a judo move in Superman TAS's "World's Finest" which doesn't make Batman as strong as Superman and C) we need CONTEXT to judge the whole thing, Bruce might still be holding Hulk down as much as he can).

Wait, just wait to see the actual movie.

How Darkphantom will GENUINELY look at you when you say we can't scale characters off of a movie that hasn't come out yet (he conveniently forgot about that time he claimed Sentry was only 10-B based on trailers and spoilers from his friends, only to be completely ******* wrong):

Hopefully this link to the Imgur video works more reliably.

In other news, the Fantastic Four: First Foes - Shalla-Bal comic is out today and features new feats for the Silver Surfer:

  • In the prologue, opened some sort of rifts to communicate with her daughter
  • Fires actual energy beams from her hands instead of just shockwaves
  • Is vastly superior to the armed forces of planet Polaris, which later produce an explosion visible from space
  • Easily deflects a missile with her board
  • Manages to withstand getting blasted by the Corestars, which begin to cause a chain reaction that nearly wipes out everyone on the planet, but she absorbs all the Corestar radiation into herself
  • States that she has lived "forever", and that everyone she has ever known or loved is long dead

Also, it seems that despite not being meant for release until the week after the movie, some copies of the artbook for Spider-Man: Brand New Day have already gotten out early, as some pictures have been circulating online, and there's even a fairly detailed review of the book. According to the review:

  • Whoever Sadie Sink is playing, she isn't referenced in the book at all
  • Hulk takes up the last third of the book
  • Similar to Age of Ultron, Gray Hulk was supposed to be in the film, even appearing in concept art, but was scrapped in favor of keeping Hulk green the whole time
  • Storyboards portray Spider-Man vs. Hulk as more of a game of cat-and-mouse with slight horror elements, featuring Hulk getting frustrated as Spider-Man keeps moving too quickly; it's more of a predator vs. prey dynamic instead of a straightforward slugfest
  • Spider-Man's evolving powers in the movie include heightened strength
  • Damage Control gets a chapter showing how they've evolved, and now have a new headquarters, and weaponry built from salvaged Chitauri, Sakaaran, and Rocket Racoon tech (Tier 7 Damage Control?)
  • Punisher somehow gets caught up in Spider-Man and Hulk's battle

fabric, the helmet is stated to be a Vibranium alloy (backing up previous statements), and the Redwing drones are also specifically mentioned to have Vibranium-enhanced durability. Also points the wing blades being able to piercing a Hulk and the wings being able to withstand hits from an angry Hulk in a general enough manner that it's presumably meant to be just as capable against other Hulks besides Ross.
Hulk upscale?

Hulk upscale?
At this point, between the multiple statements of the helmet being vibranium, the new statement confirming the Redwing drones are vibranium, and the artbook stating that Ross pushed Sam's shield and wings to their limits, there's probably a lot more evidence pointing towards Red Hulk being comparable to vibranium than there is on him being comparable to Banner's Hulk, which relies way more on assumptions. It helps that Red Hulk doesn't really have notable anti-feats. It's not like anything causes him actual injury except for vibranium blades (and we know that vibranium has the capacity to inflict piercing damage to other vibranium), and his own kinetic energy being redirected into him.
