Brought up here, Hiei's profile currently lists a feat of vaporizing a giant steel axe but has the heat of vaporizing iron as the temperature, and going by the manga the axe in question was melted, not vaporized. , plus the anime version saying the axe was incinerated, also not vaporized. Nothing major, just an adjustment of 3000C down to 1370C.

Just realizd the link is broken in the OP so here is a clip of the feat from the anime, though from what ive been told the manga takes priority over the anime for this verse

It doesn’t drip in the manga either. It seems to combust and burn away, because that looks like fire, not molten iron.
 
...Cal do you know what splashing liquid looks like? Because thats what splashing liquid looks like, hes literally striking Hiei with the axe and the axe is being turned to liquid by his heat and splashing away from the point of impact

And that is definitently not fir given how prevalent fir is in this series and how calling that fire contradicts every dpiction of fire i the manga
 
I think that this seems uncontroversial to apply.
