For the MS, even a jump from 2 to 3 tomoe is enough to counter a blitz. Heck, the 2 tomoe is capable of handling the blitz tier speed of the Chidori which a 1 tomoe can't handle. The MS is a far superior jump than that and as such, qualifies for an upscale

For a normal sharingan, the user couldn’t be certain of capturing his opponent in a moment that short. Shisui had not missed that fleeting instant. Mukai had definitely been ensnared in the genjutsu

Ah, I see it's 1 c in the sandbox but 1.1 c in the scaling diagram which threw me off.

1c is listed as SoL if I'm not wrong. Right?

Both SoL and FTL. Iirc we generally tend to give SoL rating to stuff that's directly said to be light speed and FTL for characters that reach it by other means like calculations or upscaling

However, going through the sandbox, I don't think the leap to Faster Than Light reactions with the Mangekyou Sharingan is substantiated enough. There are no scans for the justification that would support a jump to 1c, or 1.1c.

With the explanation I gave above, are you still against upscaling?

This is the "standard" on upscaling (we really need something clearer)

It's possible for a character depicted as vastly superior to another in a statistic to achieve a tier above them if the latter is close to the next tier. However, such ratings ultimately require case-by-case analysis.

The MS has identical wording used in its superiority statement to the sharingan

After that day, Itachi had looked into this himself. In old Uchiha documents, only the existence of the Mangekyo sharingan was noted; the record stopped with the mention that its power far surpassed that of the normal sharingan.

With the threshold for upscaling being ~1.2x and the statements and numerous feats that potrays the massive boost the MS has on the sharingan, it's safe to upscale it the next tier

Think it's pretty notable that 3T Edo Itachi rivals a fatigued KCM Naruto with chakra split between more than a dozen clones, while MS Edo Itachi is relative to EMS Sasuke who rivals a later Mastered KCM Naruto at full power.

Anyways, I found it very goofy that this didn't get combat and while the opposition to combat stopped responding I won't push further here since Test put in months for this and the thread's finally ending, you're all probably also busy with RL duties wanting this to end already, I might make a crt later down the line to switch this into combat (as well as adding #that thing) later down the line if someone does not get to it before me

I thought seventh guy was going to scale considering gaara being baffled as to how a human can move like that even though he's seen the raikage first hand. Also guy and pre god tree madara are still 10c instead of 14c
