Misako and everyone else did just get Double Dragon skill-scaling via fighting Abobo. I suggest looking at Billy’s profile for that because it does get pretty crazy.Might have to give this to Shantae. Shantae has, like, half the mental capacity of Misako at best and at worst would wear her own dung thinking it's a new ninja outfit, think a flu is a collectable item and let an egg she was supposed to babysit die from her stupidity. At the same time Shantae is more like a Son Goku than she is a Lindsay from Total Drama.
What I mean is is while Misako is proficient in martial arts to a point where she can master techniques she just bought from Planet Fitness, Shantae has a thing she's more proficient in, and that's magic. Even without magic, Shantae can quickly pick up and make use of Risky's techniques, but I won't get to those since Misako isn't bothered by armed opponents. See, the magic users Misako came across are basal save for Hibari and one particular boss fight in RCG2. Shantae is living in a freaking DnD campaign!
With magic, Shantae defeated the world-ending threat that is the Pirate Master, an entity that took every genie available at the time just to seal him away! Adding onto that, Shantae just BARELY saved the genie realm from a machine Risky jury-rigged (keep in mind that Risky is for some reason more knowledgeable in magic than Shantae is despite not being a magic user), AND she defeated the Empress Siren, who actually killed a ******* genie! Genies are the main magical forces of the world Shantae lives in, how the hell are the Mafia bosses on steroids Misako fought against going up against that?!
Oh yeah, I did kinda forget about Misako's acausality, did I? In that case, I don't think either of our views on whether Shantae's dances would affect the flow of time around her or not would matter. Granted, I believe in the Risky Mode battle, Shantae kinda ignored Risky's hits, but that is purely a game mechanics thing; otherwise, we'd be dealing with an endless spiral of circular scaling that I'd be having a headache over.Misako and everyone else did just get Double Dragon skill-scaling via fighting Abobo. The AOE nuke dances are going to be hell for Misako to get through but if she does get through, it’s going to be equally hell for Shantae. With the Bunny Button, she can give herself a big speed boost to close the gap between them before she tries to dance again. Given the first attack, that’s going to be a big priority for her. Outside of elephant mode, Misako has the LS advantage and can easily grapple and juggle her using a nonstop flurry of H2H, which she is way more skilled at in comparison to Shantae and has the superior combat speed to keep the punches coming like an oraoraora, leaving her little time to breathe or dance.
Given Shantae’s in-character fight tactics against Risky Boots in the Risky mode boss, not only does it take her quite a bit to transform, but her attack patterns are a bit resemblant of the kind from Hibari, and she’s very much familiar with how to dodge those. It wouldn’t be hard for her to get in close and lay the smackdown on her given that. I personally believe that the half-genie hero would open with these attacks, but use the nuke dances when she’s in trouble. Just going off of a story standpoint.
If she does get to low health, Misako’s fear SI might kick in at some point and she’ll be in a lot of trouble then as well. It all depends on how quickly Misako can close the gap, and it’ll definitely be difficult given the nuke dances, but I think she can do it. Especially going off of the Risky fight and how her dancing leaves her open to attack for a couple seconds.
Yeah, Shantae bosses just tend to do that; standing there and just letting the damage points rack up. Definitely goes into game mechanics territory.Granted, I believe in the Risky Mode battle, Shantae kinda ignored Risky's hits, but that is purely a game mechanics thing; otherwise, we'd be dealing with an endless spiral of circular scaling that I'd be having a headache over.
Alrighty. One point for Misako.Otherwise, I think it's safe for me to say "I concede" at this point because I got nothing else to say for Shantae.
