WandaVision MCU Spoiler Discussion Thread

Tbf unless you're supremely powerful, more or less everyone would be begging for their life against Wanda.

Anyway, looks like Agatha's gonna be put to "Unknown".

Magic in the Verse edit | edit source

There is magic in the MCU, it deals with extra-dimensional energy and quantum mechanics. All of Asgard is powered by the magical Odinforce. The Sorcerer Supreme's job is to train students in learning magic and defending Earth from mystical threats such as Dormammu."

This is most definitely going to need to be updated as well as well talking about Hax of characters or beings in the verse

Yeah, Wandavision has definately increased the standard of hax and magic we saw in the MCU

I'm going to be honest for a second, I get that MCU fans building theories on how the finale will have Reed Richards and Doctor Strange and the X-Men and Mephisto and Waluigi were setting themselves up for disapointment. But I did NOT understand why they used Quicksilver for a joke on Penises. That was pretty awful and likely the worst of MCU humor in the series. They should have used the theory that Agatha got Quicksilver from the X-Men universe and brought him to the MCU setting up the multiverse and the X-Men reboot

Agreed
Something I don't understand, where does the Mephisto theory came from?
And it's because of Billy and Tommy's comic origins as pieces of mephisto

Also, considering the fan reactions to the wandavision finale due to fan theories, I got a MASSIVE feeling that if there is no spider-verse as the plot for Spider-Man 3, the fandom will melt down.

Alright. I'll admit, I would have loved to see Mephisto but he could be introduced into Doctor Strange 2 (him or Nightmare). Even if not, I hope the movie will bring some seriously "disturbing" aspects of the Multiverse, with Dormmamu-like entities and more magical elements.

Back to the topic, Wanda will get a tabber for her powers as the Scarlet Witch/for her magical powers right?

Yeah lol, neither Garfield nor Tobey is confirmed yet people act as if they are absolutely going to be in the movie.

Oooh okay thanks
Pretty much that. For example, the Thanos profile has one with his own abilities and the abilities he has from the Gauntlet.

Agatha's profile is almost ready for me (I mean, I'm preparing one as a document on my computer) but I would need speed and durability at least (AP and Striking Class are gonna be Unknown I believe).

Telepathy (Wanda was unable to read her mind) and Mind Manipulation (Completely unaffected by the Westview Anomaly's affects on the mind.)

That all looks good. The only other thing I can think of is possibly necromancy but at the same time that's also probably not something she should have even though the reason she said the reason she can't resort to it is because the body isn't there so she couldn't revive it and because of the condition of it, so yeah necromancy wasn't really displayed or like further given context so I think everything looks good.

Maybe a "Possibly Necromancy" rating?

Limited though because it was only through the necklace

I'm not sure if the limited part is necessary. Having abilities through an item doesn't always exactly make it a limited ability. Especially if we're lacking context behind how she did it.

Yeah, it's really the only thing that TRULY disappointed me about the show. The joke wasn't even that funny, and it's just such a waste. Evan's Quicksilver could've had SO MUCH potential in the MCU.

Constructing a string like shape out of energy isn't qualification for thread manipulation going off of the actual page for thread mainp. Doctor Strange also has the same string like constructs and he doesn't have thread manipulation.

The memory manip page only references feats of memories actually being manipulated and changed. All they did through episode 8 was recap and relive. Nothing indicates the memories themselves were being manipulated.

I'll add clairvoyance.

Then that's an ability missing for Doctor Strange.

Mental manipulation - Affecting memory through the consciousness/mind. Allows managing memory in a variety of ways (comprehending, modifying, deleting existing memories, as well as creating new memories). This also includes modification of memory by controlling the electrochemical signals of the brain.

Oops I was thinking of the dream manip page, not the memory manip page. My bad.

No, it's not an ability missing for strange. He's not performing thread manipulation so he shouldn't get thread manipulation. Neither should Agatha.

Mind Manipulation.

And pretty sure he's also an empath. He stated that Agatha felt "quiet", unlike Wanda.

He never displayed mind manip. You could infer that he has telepathy though, but he only has a vague statement directed towards agatha.
