Base Natsu is a Variable Nightmare in X792

So… I guess I’m making a CRT after a few years of not doing so. But I figured righting a past wrong mattered a bit since we have new users who are eager to make their way and I need to help them out. The point of this thread is quite simple, X792 Natsu needs to be split into two keys, one accounting for the beginning of X792 and one accounting for the end of X792, which is essentially the Natsu after Chapter 520 onwards.

The reason I do this is because Natsu is notably different from prior showings in the fights against Zeref and Acnologia due to his emotional state. In the fight against Zeref, a Base Natsu who was previously struggling in a casual state against Jacob and Ajeel, was consistently boxing and bruising a Base Zeref that scales above people like Irene and August (See Chapters 522-530ish). This is because Natsu is emotionally locked the hell in during this fight because he’s in a war mindset. Additionally, against Acnologia, Base Natsu consistently performs infinitely better than the other Dragon Slayers, tanking blasts from Acnologia and overall displaying feats above his previous performances (See Chapters 540-544).

HOWEVER, this does not scale to his Base Form in most of X793 because after a year of peace, Natsu is no longer locked the hell in and is still struggling with weaker Spriggan level foes because he does not have the war mindset yet. So basically Base Natsu gets insanely stronger for two fights at the end of X792 because he’s emotionally charged and then resets to a weaker state at the start of X793

X792 Natsu would split like this…

Tier: High 6-A in Base, higher with FDKM or E.N.D. Form, 5-A with Igneel's Power, far higher with Igneel's Power+FDKM | Varies from High 6-A to 5-A in Base, higher with DF, far higher with DF+FDKM, Low 2-C with SDFF, higher with SFDM

Key: Beginning of X792 | End of X792

I agree except for Igneel's Power not being Low 2-C as it stems from Igneel's own scaling to Acnologia, and as such Natsu should downscale from that

Also the new arc kinda just upscales that form anyway

Woah what? Where are we getting the idea that X792 Igneel’s Power Natsu is Low 2-C?

Igneel’s Power Natsu blatantly does not scale to Igneel and most certainly does not scale to Fairy Heart Zeref either. I ain’t seeing the Natsu who couldn’t put down Base Zeref knocking out Acnologia when half-dead the way Igneel was

It's just cuz of immense downscaling really. But honestly I am fine with him not having that scaling anyway cuz that's just narratively inconsistent.

Makes sense, even his Base power varies to a ridiculous extent. Perhaps even his other keys might have something like this if one tries hard enough to gauge consistency of his power

Actually, I really like this "Varies from A to B" style as far as Natsu goes, this style of rating makes the most sense for him

Early X793 may need it, End of Tartaros arguably needs it, but he has two separate keys anyways
