Strife of the Reborn (RP Thread)

@Beach

What the three Brusels say cause Kusanagi to turn red for a bit again.

"Shush, that's not really true."

She said, remaining quiet for a while after that.

"I suppose you are probably right about the leaving. I am also unsure of what ways allow for fair teams here."

She noted, mostly ignoring the talk of "beating" and such. She was fairly confident in this too, though her movements in general seemed more restrained than usual, as if still embarrassed.

@Labyrinth

"I suppose you might as well, both of us have gained a good bit, so perhaps once we spar we'll see even more. And you do seem to be fairly strong from what I can tell, as well."

She noted, trying to encourage Lailah.

"Indeed it isn't. Although it does seem to lead to me being dragged into... embarrassing situations. I wasn't aware I could even still feel that."

It is true. No use denying it, someone's just going to say it every time you do. Lailah telepathically notes to Kusanagi

"Hmm. We could just draw lots at random, or maybe we could go for something else if its decided that we can't do this fairly."

@Labyrinth

"That's true, there would be plenty to show off there. And you flatter me, but I'm not really as suited for direct combat as some others."

"And its a good thing that you can still feel those things, I think. I've never experienced anything like that stuff before so it is a bit embarrassing for me too." She laughs, rubbing the back of her neck

"Anyway, as for stuff she taught me. She gave me ways to cast curses quicker, make them stronger and stuff, and most uniquely, to make some specialized curses, she called them commandments or something, and I can make something similar to them. And the time with her possessing me helped contribute to my current state."

@Beach

W-why do you think that? I don't understand.

She replied telepathically. She didn't reply to Brusel directly, but she did look away from the mirror and seemed to pout a bit.

"Well, we could do 3 on each side, with myself, Lailah, Kiara, Ikkath, Layla and Brusel, which makes 6 total. Or we could just go swimming or something like that."

She suggested afterwards

@Labyrinth

"Your abilities still seem rather powerful, and uh, hard to get rid of."

Kusanagi replied, observing Lailah in more detail.

"And... is it? It feels strange, and I don't remember anything like it."

She said, scratching her head.

"What do those curses do that's special, then?"

Elegast starts spinning her spear, accelerating to top speed instantly, and deflects the orbs. This is immediately followed up by
her thrusting her spear towards Kusanagi, though she's physically out of reach. However despite that the thrust is still able to reach her and instead of one there seem to be ten of them coming from different angles.

Drake, after working with his scientists, would do another test.

This time, the plant he was working on initially mutated again now seemed to be able to articulate a word, albeit irrationally, it was just a matter of trial and error.

@hl3

"Personally, I'm not a fan of things phasing out and back in. happens way too often, so I'd rather nip it in the bud. I've got big plans, though, plans that'll make sure I I really pull out that selfishness and hatred."
Llwn sits in silence for a moment, thinking. A great myriad permutations play out in his head, civilizations rising and falling, before he responds.

"Dictatorship and general totalitarianism are not predestined features of civilization, they are a phase of development. just as theocracy was. While humanity would certainly do better without it, wouldn't it be less likely to recur later if it was naturally phased out?"

"Hm. That brings me to another question: specifically, what exactly... is that plan? Kusanagi made vague reference to something her and Lailah were doing, and I believe that new being that took one of Lailah's bodies mentioned it as well, although neither elaborated."

"Sorry, but I'm not at liberty to share the plan yet. Understand that things would be a lot more difficult if we had to manage all the summoned's thoughts on the plan... and to be blunt, I'm not sure I can trust you anyway."

@Paul_Frank

Kiara telepathically contacts Lailah. Hey, I've got this guy in furs asking about our plan. I think he's the one that showed up in your barrier before me? Might do well to keep an eye on him.

@beach

Fufu. Its just true, you shouldn't keep denying it, and asking too much isn't really going to get you many answers, just go with it.

"I'm fine with anything that's decided on, this has been an interesting first experience already." Lailah comments

@Labyrinth

"I'll give you that second one, they're persistent little things. Although their power ranges from things I find funny, to somewhat useful stuff, to completely useless." She says in response, with a slight laugh

"And umm, I believe so. If you've never experienced anything like it, that means you're having new experiences, those are good too."

Lailah responded, giving an assuring thumbs up

"As for what they do, they're pretty powerful curses that automatically enact a certain effect once a condition is met. They can be put on someone, and whoever is in range of them that activates said condition has the effects applied to them."

The Brusel simply hands Kusanagi the mirror, before returning to think with the other Brusels. "Hm... maybe a spin roulette kind of deal? Although swimming does sound very nice."

@beach

I suppose the actions of the people here make me a bit more inclined to believe that they think that, for some reason. Including yours, with the curse.

She answered Lailah.

"Well, Kiara seemed to organize this whole event, so perhaps she ought to decide what we start with."

Kusanagi suggested.

@Labyrinth

"I feel you are somewhat underestimating yourself, seeing as you could hold your own against me in the past."

She noted, sounding sincere in her assessment.

"Are they? Hmm, maybe. There's lots of things I've either never felt or might as well never have, as I do not remember such things. I imagine you're much the same. Though I may have once lived a normal life, everything that I was is no longer that, nor do I think it was normal by the standards of most."

She said, seeming lost in thought at that statement.

"I see. Do you intend to use them for some purpose? They seem rather powerful, if they do what you describe."

@WHYNAUT

Kusanagi's aura flares up in response to this, and the strikes are met with several blades manifesting and moving around her telekinetically, striking at them, severing them and distorting space to direct them away.

From her main blade at that, a network of thorns extends, blades launching at her, twisting space around her to keep her in place. An aura of darkness and flame begins exploding forth from Kusanagi.

@Beach

Indeed, and as I believe people say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And my curse was just to make you follow beach etiquette.

"Well, sounds like that's been chosen."

@labyrinth

"I'm glad you think so highly of my abilities then. And I suppose I didn't do too poorly in that last match yeah." Lailah says, obviously having accepted the complement

"Yes, I'm much the same. I haven't experienced much, especially emotions relating to relationships between people. Even stuff like the compliments and stuff Kiara was giving were a foreign concept and I only knew of it because of information obtained from the Akashic Records." She responds solemnly

"But, for you, even if your life drastically changed and you couldn't be considered normal, and even if you forgot what that stuff was like, it coming back is a way to show you're still not some sort of inhuman monster despite how your life ended up, I believe that's a good thing."

She pauses for a moment before responding to the last question

"As for the curses, yes I do intend to use them. I can give them out to people, if needed. Or I could hypothesis curse myself with them I suppose. Depending on what I make the conditions and effects, they could be useful for the future."

@ZephyrosOmega

I see I see. Noted, thank you for the information Kiara, I'm assuming you didn't tell him anything if you're telling me this, yeah?

@beach

Hm. And it seemed to do more than that, given what happened when I tried to teleport.

Kusanagi raised her hand, and shaped the environment to be a fitting field for it.

@labyrinth

"I imagine you'll do well next time too."

She noted.

"I might have had some knowledge gained due to observing the world, but it is still a distant thing. As a ruler, I never got to live a normal life even before I became a monster. A life like that in most societies doesn't tend to be all it seems to be. Maybe it is a good thing, maybe not? Is it good to have human traits for ones like us? In any case, I'm here, now, I suppose. So perhaps, we could help each other experience those things."

She suggested, pausing for a bit there too.

"So do you expect people to willingly take them then, or would you force them on people?"

@Beach

What ever could you mean?

@Labyrinth

"I can only hope so, wouldn't want to bore you."

"I see, I figured being a ruler would be a nice thing, but I guess maybe they're too separated from their people to experiment a normal life too. In any case, I'd say it's a good thing to experience emotions like that. With our goals, it wouldn't really be the best if we were completely completely unable to have those kind of emotions, at least I think that. And maybe we could help eachother experience that stuff, could be nice."

She says, and gives a smile

"Well, I could give them by force, or have some people accept them willingly, maybe yourself and Kiara. Depends on what conditions and effects I create."

...I feel like we are missing something.

"Impossible. There's nothing i can miss. In any case, have the trains be completed?"

Y-yes. At any point, someone may travel through trains in this base.

"You know, i have been thinking. We need a name for this planet."

Yes, very good point. May i suggest Planet Zeskiel?

"I'm not a narcisist! Besides, that feels quite on the nose."

Hmm. How about... Planet Z?

"...Hey, not a bad idea at all. I knew i could trust you, Raphael."

And so, i stand up from the couch and leave my house.

"The universe will now be very aware of the power of Planet Z!"

You mean the nearest 10 solar systems, right?

"Precisely."

We cannot rely on the Space Brigrade forever, so mass production is being done towards robots. Hopefully, one day, living intelligence life can visit my realm.

while drake was working

some berserkers go out to collect materials and explore outer space, debating what they would do when they finished gathering the ore for their master's plan.

@Edwellken

One of the Brusels waves at Layla "Yo, uh... mind spectating? I kinda don't know your name and I would appreciate it if yer pretty face could give me your name. Just so I can put it in my mind."

"Sorry, but I'm not at liberty to share the plan yet. Understand that things would be a lot more difficult if we had to manage all the summoned's thoughts on the plan... and to be blunt, I'm not sure I can trust you anyway."
"I see."

Feeling around for a moment. he spots the characteristic energy of that woman on the surface of the moon, seemingly accompanied by many others. They don't appear to be attacking her, or even doing their own thing independent of her, so that's quite annoying.

"Well, that's all the questions I can remember for now. I'll take you up on that offer from before soon."

@beach

You know exactly what I mean.

"It's nothing, just a simple Force power."

She replied to Ikkath, hearing what he said about what she did.

"Also, I think we need her to get to 6 without clones."

She pointed out to Brusel.

@Labyrinth

"I'm sure you would do just fine."

"And it may not be the same for all, but living as a ruler is by no means a simple experience. Full of stress and uncertainty, risk. Not enough time to live a normal life at all. And you are probably right. I am glad to have found someone like you in this world, Lailah."

She replied, smiling as well.

"As for the curses, would they be potentially beneficial to us then?"

"I see. I'll be waiting, then."

@beach

Nope, not a clue.

"So, do either of the captains have a preference for the others they'd want on their team?"

@labyrinth

"Thanks for the vote of confidence."

"I see, living as a ruler doesn't sound like all it was made out to be then. Anyway, its lucky I met you in this world as well Kusanagi." She says, moving to pat Kusanagi on the back

"With the curses ummm. Well, having an ability like that which can work on your opponents if you can bait them into activating the conditions is good. Some conditions might even activate without much trickery on your part. But there is a bit of risk I suppose."

@beach

"I want you and kusanagi, obviously," Kiara grins and pulls the two she mentioned together. "Our world-changing polycule is INVINCIBLE!"

@beach

The fact that they slowly fell off like that when I teleported. That had to be on purpose.

"Well, that works for me. The other team would be Ikkath, Brusel and Layla then?"

@Labyrinth

The pat seems to cause her to shiver a bit, as if thrown off by something unusual happening.

"R-right. Thank you, you're rather nice."

She replied, remaining quiet for a bit after.

"I take it there would be downsides to this then, right?"

@beach

Oh, that. I'll leave that up to your imagination.

"Are you sure polycule is the word you meant to use there Kiara? Anyway, those teams seem fine to me I suppose, yeah."

@labyrinth

"I try. You're nice too, are you okay though?" Lailah asks, referring to the shivering

"Also, the downsides are rather simple. When I said, anyone in range who activated the conditions, I meant anyone."

@beach

H-hey, that's...

"Huh, does that word mean something in particular? I don't believe I've heard it before."

Kusanagi asked.

"I feel as though powers should probably be allowed, but duplicates would make it a bit boring I think."

She suggested.

@Labyrinth

"O-oh, I'm fine, this was just unexpected for me, again."

She insisted, seeming to sort of wave her hands to show she's fine.

"So whatever it is, it'd affect the user as well?"

@beach

Hehe.

"It uhh... you can ask Kiara what it means if she decides it was the word she meant."

"I agree with powers being fine, but duplicates would just result in both teams having a ton of members which isn't as exciting."

@labyrinth

Lailah leans forward and inspects Kusanagi's expression for a moment, and then shrugs.

"Okay, well, as long as you're alright."

She straightens back out as she says this

"Anyway, that's correct. The user is not exempt from the effects, and I doubt any of us, probably even myself included, could resist the effects of one all things considered. So, the idea would be that, if they were willing, I'd grant one that is unlikely to be triggered by the particular person. Be that due to some aspect of their personality, or some other reason."
